Will start of in the MAC vs MAAC game..NIT's

Kent St -6 over Fairfield *****
Kent St just lost to Akron by 3 and missed the senior prom. So its off to the Junior Prom{NIT}Kent is better in almost all aspects,scoring,FG%,3 pt,FT%,rebounding,etc.Stags have a better defense but that's against a weaker conference...
Fairfield can't score. They are ranked 316th in scoring pts.Take Needham out and the Stags are hurting...two weeks before the tourney they lost to Manhattan 34-31...Marist beat them by 7,Albany by 8 and in the 1st round of the tourney they were behind St Peters most of the game but pulled it out...Kent has a good gd in Holt and Evans is a 6'8 fd who can score...they can hit the 3...they are playing at home...Flashes should win this by 10-15 pts...the only thing about the NIT's " is there heads into it"...

St Marys -2.5 over Mid Tenn ***
MT dominated the Sun conf but was upset by FIU 61-57...a lot of questions about MT in the tourney..a lot of rd wins and 27 total wins...but Sun was a weak conf this yr... sweeping the North Texas's FAU,,UL Mon,etc..the beat Vandy back in Dec when everyone beat them...they did beat C Florida....there big and athletic but they are cold from the 3 in last 6 or 7 games..in the FIU game 3-15,4-9,3-10...
Mary is 23rd in the country in scoring..FG is 47%,FT%,etc...they just beat Creighton,BYU 2 times,and have 3 losses to Zaga...Della is one of the top gds in the country despite going 1-8 and scoring 2 pts vs Zaga...he is a 6'4 scoring gd..Holt can also score...6'4 and 6'5 gds..Levesque6'6,Waldron 6'9,etc...think they beat MT..Mary will spread the MT defense with there outside shooting..they have hit 262 3's ranking 25th....Dellavedova has played 2 bad games...tomr nite he explodes...

NC AT -1.5 over Liberty **
There hot esp 7-0 ats..

Long Island -1 over JMU **
Think Blackbirds can be big trouble for JMU...esp with their top scorer out the 1st half..even if that didn't happen LIU has probably the best passer in the nation in Brickman...see's the floor better then anybody..the other gds are great passers..Olaswere can score and rebound..I know they play weaker comp in their conf but the Blackbirds can score...

Maryland -10.5 over Niagara **
Purple can score with Green and Mason at the gds...but they give up 75 pts a game on defense...same problem as Iona..now you can get away with that in the MAAC but not with the big boys...Purple have no post defense what so ever...none, nada...of there 5 top scorers 4 are gds..and top rebounder is a gd...Terps can put in the front court Lin,Padget,Layman and Mitchell...that is 7'1,6'8,6'8 and 6'8.. they are one of the top rebounding teams in the country.Wells is a 6'5 gd and Faust is 6'6..those guys are forwards in the MAAC...Terps did just beat Duke but got bumped by NC...this week. Purple when playing against the big boys like Oregon St,Bonnies,Buffalo, and Notre dame have been smokedby 10-20 pts...... If incentive is a problem tonite in Turgeons contract he made $25,000 for making the NIT's...and gets $10,000 for every win in it..some contract...he has to get his guys up for this game...Niagara's coach Joe Mihalich got a 6 month coupon from Subway only to be used at lunch...in Niagara Subways only...Joe needs to lose a few pounds so that gives him some incentives..



FSU -4.5 over La Tech **
Noles just got thru beating Vir,NC St,and Clemson..La Tech was going to the big dance until 10 days ago...got beat by Tex SAntonio in the tourney and Denver blew them out by 20 just before the tourney..Snaer wants another home game...how any farewells does this guy get..playing at home...

Kentucky -3.5 over R. Morris **
So much hoopla on this game..return home Calipari,etc...gym sold out..seats 3,000 but 3,500 will be in it..Cats on the rd don't play well,etc...Morris can shoot but Cats are bigger,stronger,quicker and the word you hear all the time more "athletic"...fans will be cheering big time for home team but also Calipari gets a lot of props too.

All games are just 2 **'s...only because in the NIT's who knows what teams will show up..Terps could be so down not getting an invite to the big dance..season is over mentally...now they have to get back up and play Niagara.." who the hell is Niagara". In the meantime Niagara hears its going to College Park and knew playing in the tourney they had an automatic bid to the NIT...there up big time playing Maryland...so who knows who shows up...can't capp heart and desire...same goes for La Tech and all the others...most of these teams ended up getting beat in their tourneys and missed the bubble...
But I do love Kent St..the game was postponed due to snow...play wed nite...will post some plays tomr and its off to Nirvana,Heaven,Lala land..Vegas
