Hellah---BG is going to be the play tomorrow. I think after the Kent loss, they realize that they probably arent going to win the MAC, like they SHOULD, and they can get back to playing no pressure ball like the beginning of the season. I think they are going to set their goals a bit dfferently from here on out. Number 1 goal is to get 20 wins.. Goal number 2, win the MAC tourney. I look for a big win tomorrow.

As far as BG...what in the hell has happen to them! They cant win on the road!! Its sick! They can only win at Anderson Arena. Tell you what...BG and Ohio are both playing for that 3rd spot in the MAC...3rd FREAKING SPOT! ANYBODY..I MEAN ANYBODY that has seen Keith McCleod play would agree with me that BG is not a 3rd ranked MAC team...these guys have to stay out of foul trouble...THEY HAVE TOO! Otherwise..no big dance...no MAC tourney champ trophy...and sure as hell no NIT.....they have to start winning on the road...if they go to Cleveland(MAC Tourny site) like this, they are gonna get raped!

David Webber is too much. This guy is the MACs leading scorer and he can ball better then anybody in the MAC....including Keith McCleod. I dont think Stan Joplin is a real good coach, I know that Toledo has revenge on their minds from the whoopin they took at Mt. Clemens....but Toledo is undersized....they cant rebound.....I hate going against the Rockets....but facts are facts...and if you seen David Webber play...you would agree. In fact, if you would just see how "hard" Toledo crashes the boards.....you would agree with that too. In basketball, you HAVE to rebound to have a chance. Toledo depends on the outside jumpers way too much. Central has a good perimeter D - AND they can score. These guys were one of the favorites to win the MAC....it isnt like Central sucks or anything.

Actually my mistake....David Webber is 3rd in the MAC in scoring with 20 points per....Keith McCleod is 1st....in fact...McCleod is 4th in the nation in scoring with 24 points per....

Ricky Cottrill is 2nd from Eastern Michigan with 20.5 per

David Webber is no more than a loose cannon , and is vastly overhyped. I have seen him live several times including a MAC tourney game where he cost his team the game by going 5/23 from the field. It did not matter that he wasn't hitting anything, he just kept firing them up. I am quite aware that on occasion he does get hot and has had some monster games, but those are indeed few and far between. CMU is by far at their best when they work inside to Pleiness and Kayman.


Mr. Webber is shooting the rock with less than stellar proficiency. He is 42 % from the field, a fine 29% from the arc and just 64% from the FT line.

His defense is overhyped as well, in the Akron game a couple of weeks back Andy Wood, a slow gangly freshman guard left him in his tracks on more than one occasion. When he was called upon to guard R. Brown it was lights out, as Brown repeatedly got off on him.

I'm not sure if you have really seen him play at all, or maybe you caught him in action on a good night but there are several guards in the MAC that I'd have on my team over Webber. To say that he's better than McCloud is laughable.

Venting...big time

Venting...big time

this is unreal...I think Toledo is gonna set a new school record for attendance at a basketball game. I have never seen so many people go to a basketball game before, last time I saw this was when Ohio St cam up here and we beat em! I am stuck in the computer lab rather then workingout cuz no parking. Gonna have to workout at 10pm I guess :mad:

Sweet...went 5-1 - glad I hedged that Toledo game. To bad...no middle. But I`ll take 5-1 anyday :D
