All righty. This is a bigger card than I expected to put forth today, but I am playing even more than these. Something is amiss with garcia. Despite raking up some wins, he has only pitched one quality game since July 4th. His era has risen from 3.4 to nearly 4.5. His Rd era is almost 5. And his current form (3/5 rd starts) is worse than that. Tex sends out a test case. After yesterday's drop-off, look for Tex offense to get back to their usual whack attack....
SF/LA shapes up to be a classic 3-2 duel. Nomo and Rueter are big time, and on their game. Tense atmosphere for LA means tense spinchter muscles means poor hitting. Thus, "tight ass theory" applies here....
Cin/Pit...dessens hasn't quite regained form, but pitches well enough to get under this inflated total. Should be 8.5 -120.
KC has hit buehrle this year, and any home team at +200 gets my attention. TB has a great shot here so long as wilson returns to form. If we can get a 2-2 type game going into the 7th, our chances are good because Pedro is likely to get pulled by then....
Hou under seems high by a half run.....expect to see under 9.5 -120 by game time. Col weak hitting on the rd, and cook looks like the type to limit hou to 4 runs in 7, max. This looks like a 6-4 type game in worst scenario....5-3 type more likely...
