Wow...you guys certainly don't let the facts get in the way of your lemming like perspective.

*I didn't know Aces was going under, I pulled out at the end of football season and still had some $$ there.

*I don't blame MJ for Aces going out...just questioned the decision making process that led players to bank there.

*I don't post information on plays here because I choose not to although I read and follow several posters. Fletcher where is your record posted? You can check mine here in the Aces contest. BTW...you don't have to watch me anymore...I don't pay any attention to you.

*Junior...for all of the brainpower you seem to have devoted to me, at least get the facts straight. You and I both know you are a liar but, who cares? (It is true that Aces has been on my 'best book" list in the past)

If reasonable people can't understand why the relationship between sites like this one and the books should be viewed with some discretion, then I don't know how Aces went out of business because a bunch of dunder-heads must have been playing with them.

That discretion should include the ability to ask a question. I think Dr Freeze had the right perspective expressed in another thread about this whole situation. The ironic thing is there are quite a few posts from what seem to be rookies in here talking about losing, what to them, is probably alot of money.

Rather than anyone responding to those questions or offering assistance, we are bantering back and forth about issues that only seem important to those taking the time to write this drivel...including me.

caveat emptor

How many times must it be said, that you are taking a chance in dealing with these companies? I think the true "dunderheads" are those who are continually "shocked" that these places fold up shop!

If reasonable people can't understand why the relationship between sites like this one and the books should be viewed with some discretion.......................

So, again, your implication is that this whole sports forum/off shore business is run with a "wink and a nod" approach?

I scratch your back, you scratch mine? I can only assume by this, that you don't have any monies in an off shore account. After all........a man of your acumen wouldn't be so obtuse, right?

You rise up, out of the ashes, once again, and insinuate that Jack is a little less than above board. That seems highly unfair, to me. If you have proof, we would all love to see it. Otherwise, I suggest we move on from this topic.

This will be my last post on this subject. I'll let other vultures (like Azbob) feast on this carcas before rigomortis has even set in.

Azbob, for as long as you've been around the web (minus the unexplained year hiatus), your head is sure in the clouds. You know not of what you speak. In your lastest post you state, "........just questioned the decision making process that led players to bank there." However, in your previous posts you mention (among other things), "This "pioneering" effort on the part of MJ's cost alot of people alot of money" and "
I took care of my friends, you left your players hanging." and, ".... follow the leader right off the edge of the pier." This, my friend, is not questioning a decision making process, these are called accusations. Not only that, they are among the most outrageous, unfair, and uneducated accusations I've ever seen on this forum, or ANY forum for that matter.

As far as what went down between you and I in regards to your lovely gesture of good will, I'm not the only one with knives sticking out of my back from this stunt you pulled. I can't speak for anybody else, but this is the first (and only) time I've mentioned it publicly, and for very good reason. I shared it to show the people of this forum the hypocrisy of your ways. The fact that Aces Gold had been on your "best book" list in the past is irrelevant. Considering they were one of the largest and most well-respected outs in the industry, my guess is that they were on alot of people's "best book" list. What IS relevant is the fact that they were NOT on your "best book" list when you recommended them to me. This was merely an analogy that your view of whether a shop is a "good book" or "bad book" depends upon how it fits into your own individual needs. How convenient. Let me present a hypothetical scenario. Let's assume you recommended Aces Gold to me a month ago and I posted up. Could I then turn around and blame YOU? Gimme a break.

Finally, in typical fashion when backed into a corner, you go to the "you are a liar" card. Nice try. I didn't even have to bring this situation up for you to look like an ass. You did that yourself with your first 2 posts. As far as my credibility goes on this issue, or any other issue, i'll let my reputation over the years speak for itself.

So Cal
Just to review some good points for all to consider...
1. Don't keep large accounts in offshore books. If you have to pay an extra fee here or there, do it.
2. The fact that a website, magazine, newspaper, etc. has an advertiser that goes belly-up, seldom reflects on the integrity of the man taking the advertising bucks unless he is clearly a whore and accepts money from anyone regardless of claims. That certainly doesn't apply to Jack.
3. This IS NOT the only gambling-related web site that accepted advertising for Aces, nor is it the only one that promotes contests where an intial deposit is required.
4. This is, afterall, gambling, isn't it? No reason to get ripped, but has been the nature of the business since inception.
5. There are always signs that can be seen in perfect hindsight about stocks, horse racing, sports gambling, etc.
6. The government is probably thrilled to see this happen and will no doubt use this as yet another reason to increase the pressure to ban offshore books entirely.
7. MJ's has far more integrity than most of the people that post here, myself included.

All I will say is this, no one and I MEAN no one put a gun to your head to send $$$ over to aces. Did Jack click your mouse when the cursor was on the submit button???:nono:

I understand we are all frustrated at the events that have transpired the last few days, but if anyone is going to whine I guess that is money they couldn't afford to lose.

RULE #1 in in this business:

ONLY RISK $ THAT YOU COULD LOSE

So let us all accept what has happened and get back to what this site is all about. BEATING THE MAN

There is nothing we can do to change the past!

JUST BE CAUTIOUS FROM NOW ON

For any individual to come down on Jack blaming him for their losses in my mind is a complete idiot , shame on you, really SHAME on you. Just goes to show what type of a human being you really are

"VENT MODE OFF"

Sorry Jack if this offended anyone
