Gary - The Knoxville gang is bringing one more. His name is Greg and he would be close to the level of Bart I think. He just doesn't really give a shit about golf that much any more because he works at a course.

Since it appears we are not playing until Friday afternoon, I think the four man crew (Skipper, ppaBart, TMIMITW, and Greg) would be up for some Thurs. golf:shrug:

Greg will need a name - since he is the superintendent at a golf course and Spacks is already taken, I vote for Gunga Galunga

Be careful around Jaek with this "friendly wager" stuff. You don't even have to know about it around him and next thing you know, you are standing on a curb in debt up to your ass for losing a wager you never even made!?!? Just saying

My guest is 64 and I am 53, and I have never heard that tee boxes were age appropriate:shrug:

We always play from the decided upon tee boxes by everyone playing :0008

Anyone coming through/from Louisville area, be prepared for heavy congestion on the North side of I-65 (Near the fairgrounds) I came through on Saturday night and traffic was fine, but I am hearing it gets backed up quickly during the week

On apprpropiate tee boxs...why do you think they build diff tees--why do they have handicap cards..do gals.. seniors and pga all play from same tees on three tour challenge?

Since you never heard of it it i'll give you the reasoning. It allows all three to playing their 2nd shots from close to equal distance. If all hit from same tees you have one group hitting wedges and one fairway woods for 2nd shot.

Of course if your more into social aspect than competative aspect--I understand where your coming from.

I understand tee boxes are based on handicaps. At what age do you move forward? I really am not being sarcastic DTB, just did not know about age being the factor.

My 64 year old guest kicks my ass now from the same tee box

I am looking forward to the social aspects of hanging out and enjoy meeting you and the other guys. If I lose a few bets, not going to be a big deal :toast:

Looking forward to meeting you also..

Have played with most thsee gents several times..and you have some teams like Garry and Bart where both hit it close to 300 yds off tee...if for fun no problem from same tees... but if wagering I'd rather give them stokes and hit off respective tees than play them heads up from same and spotting them 50+ yards+ on every hole.

One has to know their limitations :)

Joker, what are the rules

Best ball?

What Tee's are we hitting from?

It's best ball I know that, only because I don't think I have ever actually had one of my shots used??? I am taking lessons and am going to turn that motha out.

It won't matter where you tee off from Betone, i can take anyone out from any impossible angle........

Actually, I have changed my swing and taken some lessons from a dude that was standing at the off ramp last Tuesday.
I am going to take home the most improved trophy this year no matter what, even if I have to bring one from home.
Just sayin.

Hope that helps,
FDC

Friday is Two Man Best Ball. Betting is team versus team so the rules can be set by the parties involved. I have no problem with anyone playing the senior tees, as long as everyone betting is aware of who is hitting from what tees.

Wayne: FWIW, I don't think anyone under 60 should hit from the forward tees unless they are a female hitting from the reds. Tee boxes are to be played based on skill level, not age or driving distance (exception noted). We can hash this out on a bet by bet basis, so it shouldn't be any big deal.
