Howdy,

I ain't one to bitch but I gotta at least ask about this. I saw in the Monday updated standings for the pod that one of my plays was wiped out because it wasn't listed in the daily thread. I kinda always figured that either the person posting it must have missed it or it went late and lasted until after the thread went up. So, with that in mind, I posted the WhiteSox to beat Detroit which was a winner. (6/1 pod thread). I don't believe it's denoted in the rules anywhere that you can't write in a game if it was missed in the daily thread and guys have been doing it all season. To abruptly come out and say your winner is void is kinda a bummer. I think there should have at least been some kind of a fair warning or something along the lines of clarification. Yes, I care so much because I'm in the running and a units a unit, no, I'm not disgruntled, and yes, I would have said something even if I was in 40th place. Would you guys consider making the rule after the fact instead of voiding those plays? Guys have been doing it all season. Here's the exact notation in the thread posted by Tiger.

1)There were two games from last Friday that were not offered in SLIP's final thread......Yankees/Cleveland and Detroit/White Sox. Three people had selections from those games.........Kevin, cash and Gatorbait. Those selections are voided.

I don't know why slip didn't list the 2 games but it just doesn't seem right that they should get erased, especially since we've been doing it all season if he had left games off the card. Thanks for listening to me piss, moan, bitch, and groan.

I haven't been grading the contest all year, so I don't know if people have been making plays on games that weren't listed or if they were graded on unlisted games. They shouldn't have been.

If a game isn't listed, it is OTB. How could a game that wasn't listed be graded? What line would we use?

It may be a rule that wasn't listed specifically for this contest, but it's a rule that we always have used in any contest ever played at madjacks. It's common sense.

Also, in a contest with as many players as we have for this contest, there will be grading errors. It's the responsibility of each player to make sure his record is correct.

If your record is posted incorrectly, we have to know about it as soon as possible, or it stands. So, save yourself the time of going back more than 2 or 3 days looking for errors. The standings stand as they are unless there was an error that we were notified about in a resonable time frame.

Sorry about that, Kevin.
