I was kind of being sarcastic I guess...but if Jack can bring it to the boards, then Agent should be able to as well...NO? Apparently not.
Plus, one had to do with a sportbook, and one is an interpersonal relationship. In my opinion, the one dealing with a sportsbook is WAY more warranted to be posted on a sports gambling forum than one that had to do with a personal side bet between friends.
I don't really come on this forum very much anymore...for numerous reasons, but since Agent is BANNED because...well really don't know why he is banned, but that would be a whole nother thread, I feel that I need to defend him.
First of all, the $800, or $880 now I guess that is owed to BDB is totally my responsibility. I pay out and collect all these funds. Perhaps the other fantasy basketball people who were promptly paid off (Treynolds $430, ONLY ONE $180) and the fantasy golf segment one winners (something around the order of $200) can attest that they were paid right away.
Second, BDB was emailing agent at an email that he NEVER checks, and agent had told him before to email him at a different address. I know there are some others of you that email him there and could testify that you have been asked to email him other places. I can name names if I need to. So there was a communication breakdown, which is why I think BDB is so frustrated and sent the email that Jack posted.
Third, BDB took about a month paying Agent last time they settled up, around the order of $1000. He had to wait to cash the money out of a sportsbook, and we had no problem waiting a month. This was the exact same arrangement that Agent made with BDB, so he was not checking his email or thinking that BDB was getting frustrated, because he told him it would be a few weeks. I guess it has been "36 days", but like I said, they agreed it would take some time. I am sorry Agent didn't communicate better. We have A LOT going on, but being welchers is certainly not one of them.
Fourth, WTF with JACK posting an email from BDB. If BDB wanted to post something on MJs, can't he log in and do it himself, or is he banned too? I understand BDB's frustration in not being able to get a hold of Agent, but it seems like he was just trying to find out information? He sent the email to numerous people, as I just logged into the fantasy email account and saw it, so perhaps Jack (who has agents email that he uses all the time, and his cellphone number) could have been a bigger man than to just post it and create drama. He could have emailed or called agent first, but I guess his hatred runs too deep. Sorry Jack, I always thought you were a great guy, but I am not sure why you hate Chad so much.
Anyway, we were waiting on some money. Just so you all know, MOST of this money that was owed to BDB was in side bets, and the money we collect for fantasy leagues is safely secured in another account.
Weasel: This thread may be your Mona Lisa. I've been cracking up for 20 minutes.:0008
SOUNDS LIKE HE WASN'T HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME OF HIS FIRST SIX HOUR TREK TO GOLF WITH YOU GUYS . . . but let me know when the next outing is so that we can hang out !!! :00hour
Hey, I send money every now and then when I think it is going to a good cause.
When he listed Imuugahbwei's needs, and the food bill was $50 a day, I had to cry "foul".
I don't know what people are in to, or what runs their head, but I just heard this weekend about a guy I went to school with who died last year. Club pro in state here, and he was eveidently taking the CC numbers off of reciepts, and ran up $90,000 in on-line gambling debt, before parking his car in the garage with the engine on.
Now, I ain't saying that's what is going on with anyone here, or even close. But this place has been PROVEN to have a soft heart, and I thnk a good standing member could rape a lot of the others quite well down the road with a story of woe.
Like so many other situations in life, it only takes a few shitty asshats to fuck it up for the rest.
Personally, I don't think I would reach out on bended knee to the Madjacks community in my times of need. (Haven't yet.) But these tools are going to cause more and more of us to think twice before licking an envelope with a $50, $100 bill in it. Not just for some stupid contests a lot of us have fun playing, and no problem paying for....., but for the actuall life changing events that we might want to help out with.
I know some of you might get really tired of me saying this, and some of you can't stand me as well, but this place is FAR too full of penny-ante scumbags and cheap ass children who are nothing but talk. Talk about their life. Talk about their finance. Talk about their gambling.
You people, are the saddest of the lot, and it will never change.
I am very skeptical of most of you, and why the fuck could I be blamed?
And I'm about to call IO right now. This is like the LOST finale
I will only chime in from a personal perspective. I've had nothing but good financial interactions with Chad over the past few years. In one instance, I got myself into a bit of a tight spot financially, and he was very understanding and let me string it along for a while until I could get out of my bind. This was a fantasy golf thing, and I felt terrible about it, but he was great to me in that spot.
I have no dog in this fight, but have nothing but positive interactions with both Chad and HH to talk about. Relatively small stuff, but I thought worth mentioning. I hope everything works out well for everyone.
Not to be a Clem apologist, but he was in a contest for a week and then kept forgetting to play. Box and One did the same thing. Nobody took him off the list because the people keeping score had no idea that Kramer would start a contest and just abandon it.
If I was in the same situation, I would pay, but it's not the same degree as the other schmucks above.
