The details have been worked out and we will be meeting at The Deck at Trumps Marina in Atlantic City on Saturday, August 7th.
For those of us that have been there, we know how much fun this place is. For those of us that haven't, it is a huge deck right on a marina, adjacent to the casino, that has table service, a Tiki bar and a live band.
We will have a sectioned off area on the deck that will have a buffet that offers beef satays (no idea what a satay is), chicken, pasta, lobster ravioli, crab cakes and other stuff that I can't remember. I do remember that everything sounded good. Food will be served from 6-9 pm.
We will also have an open bar that serves premium liquor (there is a list of brands, but I don't have it handy..but if somebody wants specifics, just post it and i'll find the list.) Definitely not well brands or house brands. All you can drink from 6-11 PM.
The cost for this party is $100 per person. This is exactly what they are charging us per person. It actually comes out to 99 and change.
While it's clear that most people would scramble to get to AC just to meet good ol' kosar, an added bonus is that Jack will definitely be there(well, what would a madjacks party be without madjackson). He'll be posting in this this thread with further details. No, you don't send the money to me. You send it to somebody trustworthy. Jackson.
At least as of a few weeks ago, Borgata had some great rates for that weekend(like 180/night), so I would certainly check them out. Whatever the case, it would be prudent to look into hotel rooms, if needed, pretty soon. I made a trip there last summer and booked a room a couple months in advance and ended up having to pay 550/night at Trumps Marina. I love the bars there, but that room was not worth that. All the other hotels were similar in price.
Tbonez, Missy and Helen probably will be chiming in as they are much more tuned in to AC than I am and they have laid the groundwork for this party. And please, anybody else with any helpful thoughts on hotels, clubs, etc, please post. Ace, highroller, let's go guys.
You all have seen the success of our Vegas parties and how much fun everybody has had. Hopefully, some of the east coast people(as well as everybody who has been to the Vegas parties) who couldn't make it out there will make the drive to AC. I promise that you'll have a blast!
