Did my own Google search on the AP writer you called out, Wayne, and seems he is pretty mainstream in the articles he writes. He wrote several reporting about Saddam and his henchmen being brought to justice and those men being removed from power, and seems to have a good handle on the workings of whatever government has been put in place there. Not sure what you say his agenda is, but see pretty much regular reporting on a number of things, and not much to signal any kind of agenda. And again, no mention of any of the points being made in this thread by me and most others lately, other than media link posts. Just bashing sources and avoiding the content.
As for GW and his #1 priority to protect Americans, I think it's very arguable that with what he has done in Iraq that we are in many ways less safe, and less prepared to face future battles to our safety - both on American interests abroad, and definitely to homeland emergencies that might crop up. We've really done nothing in the war on terror by being in Iraq, losing lives, and spending money that could go for important issues for American interests. Other than destabilize it, and construct a need for us to remain there according to those that profit from it.
