this (barely) high school kid figures out a way to test non-invasively(with 90% accuracy) for pancreatic cancer.....it`s so fricking amazing that a kid could come up with this on his own considering the hundreds of millions(,actually billions) that have been spent on research across the board at all the academic institutions, research institutes and bloated organizational bureaucracies in the name of cancer...

figured i`d give this kid a mention..might end up saving someone on the board`s life(or someone close ) one day...:toast:

Yeah, I read this story the other day and it is pretty incredible. Like a lot of inventions, sometimes people see things differently and it leads them down a path others have neglected. Good for him.

On the course!
I saw The Boys had a comment on there:

As I sip my courvoisier and have my flavor of the month grinding up against me, I somehow feel slightly inadequate after reading this article. I think I need to go shopping now to cheer myself up

No, and I was focused on baseball.....but probably not to a degree anywhere near this kid.

Exactly !

I was focused on Football and how to bail on school to get to the beach, and not get caught ! :nono:

Uh huh, like I was going to pull that off :142smilie

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Makes you wonder where those gazillions

Makes you wonder where those gazillions

of cancer research dollars really go? Vegas junkets?

I believe they could cure many common ailments such as the cold...but why?

How many Billions of dollars are spent on cold remedies, cough syrup, anti-histamines, throat lozenges, etc

Pink Floyd may have summed it up:

"Money
Get away
You get a good job with good pay and you're okay
Money
It's a gas
Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash
New car, caviar, four star daydream
Think I'll buy me a football team

Money
Well, get back
I'm all right Jack
Keep your hands off of my stack
Money
It's a hit
Don't give me that do goody good bullshit
I'm in the high-fidelity first class travelling set
I think I need a Lear jet
Money
It's a crime
Share it fairly
But don't take a slice of my pie
Money
So they say
Is the root of all evil today"
