Westboro Baptist Church says it will picket Elizabeth Edwards' funeral

(CNN) - Members of the Westboro Baptist Church announced Thursday plans to picket Saturday's funeral for Elizabeth Edwards in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Kansas-based Church - monitored by anti-hate groups such as the Anti-Defamation league and the Southern Poverty Law Center - is known for its extremist opposition to homosexuals, Jews and other groups.

The church members also oppose the War in Iraq.

According to the church's website, members will hold a protest from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Edwards, the estranged wife of presidential candidate John Edwards, died Tuesday after a six-year battle with breast cancer

Seriously? Why doesn't someone with AK-47 just do a drive-by? Gotta be someone out there? Anyone?

Pieces of shit!

Where it is real F ing COLD
I agree these phucking people are crazy, that is why I have a hard time following any religions because they care more about their phucking agenda.

:bigun: :bigun: :bigun:

Was at the Holldazzle parade trying to have a good time. The parade lasts about 30 minutes and a group of guys sat on the corner and started yelling out, "Jesus Christ is your Savior!" "You need to realize this and you need to repent!" SHit like that for 5 minutes. People politely told the group to save it for church and then after a while they were told to shut up. Luckily there were a ton of kids so the language didn't get tooo bad. But why the hell do people have to do this shit??

I think all Madjackers within a morning's drive of Raleigh should come and we can form a barrier of bodies and chant "Lord forgive them for they know not what they do," or something totally irrelevant like "Roll Tide Roll"!

Recently I read about a small town that stood up to these crackpots.
McALESTER - Members of a Kansas church that protests at military funerals may have found themselves in the wrong town Saturday.

Shortly after finishing their protest at the funeral of Army Sgt. Jason James McCluskey of McAlester, a half-dozen protesters from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan., headed to their minivan, only to discover that its front and rear passenger-side tires had been slashed.

To make matters worse, as their minivan slowly hobbled away on two flat tires, with a McAlester police car following behind, the protesters were unable to find anyone in town who would repair their vehicle, according to police.

The minivan finally pulled over several blocks away in a shopping center parking lot, where AAA was called. A flatbed service truck arrived and loaded up the minivan. Assistant Police Chief Darrell Miller said the minivan was taken to Walmart for repairs.

On the course!

Recently I read about a small town that stood up to these crackpots.

In that piece, it said something along the lines of more than two dozen law-enforcement officers, state troopers, sheriff's deputies and city police formed a security cordon around the Westboro protesters.

24 highly paid security troops for 6 people?

How do the police know these people are going to be there? Let me guess: They inform them ahead of time? They don't just show up like you or I would if we wanted to attend a rally?

Maybe if they knew no "protection" was ever going to be around, this nonsense would cease?

These kooks were here in Sioux City this past summer for a funeral of a kid that got killed in the war. They disrupted the funeral. It was really sad to see people like this

I am really surprised that someone hasn't killed one of these pieces of sh1t.
