125-101-9 YTD REGULAR SEASON
im still calling the round of 64 teams round 1. i think its dumb to call 4 play-in games "round 1". call them exactly what they are, play-in round. anywyas, got a couple i like early. will play more but gettin these in now. GL everyone.
before i post my picks, a little insight on how i view the tourny this year. Starting with my final four, besides the east, i think all the other number 1's make it. Pitt, Kanas, and Duke i just think are going to be there til the end. Ohio st is good enough to be in the final four, but i think kentucky, cuse/marquette/WVU, or UNC (if their young guys are knockin down shots), can all beat ohio st on anyday. I think Ohio st is the most talented in their bracket, but just not feelin the buckeyes yet.
I think Kansas has the toughest bracket. I know many probably disagree, but the big east teams alone are a handful. Louisville can play with anyone even thuogh i have seen many say they are overrated. Notre Dame damn well coulda been a #1 seed. They can shoot with anyteam in the nation, and if they are hitting their 3 balls, lookout. Georgetown is the sleeper from the big east. They have great gaurd play IMO that has went slightly unoticed in a gaurd heavy league. Besides the bigeast teams, you have purdue who has playmakers in a couple different spots, and Vandy who really can play. Texas A&M can be great on some nights, and terrible on others, but if they hit their stride come the second round then they could potentially be a dark horse. I still think Kansas squeaks into the final four, but I think they have close games with louisville and Notre Dame on their way.
I love this uconn team and would love to see them make a run, but remember everyone, they just won their last 5 games to win the big east. That means to win the title, they would have to win 11 straight games in not a lot of time. It is possible yes, just not likely.
Overall, I think this is going to be a helluva tourny. I am more excited for this year then any of the recent ones. I think there are so many good teams with a lot of veterans filling up rosters. Experience and depth are the two biggest things when having to win 6 straight games for the crown. Duke has it as much as any. They are my favorite to win it all vs kansas in the finals. I think the dukies and Coack K will be cutting down the net at the end of it all. Just my .02.
