Doing one of these with my buddies tonight. 8 People. 8 Teams each. Standard snake draft. Random order drawing right before we start, so can't really make too much of a strategy. Would like some opinions on this:

Who is your top team @ each seed #, i.e.- #1 seed: LVille, #2 seed: UM, etc etc.

Criteria is simple:

Every win each of your 8 teams gets is worth 1 point. If they are a worse seed than the team they beat, it's 2 points. So basically which team at each seed # do you think has the best chance to win the most games?

Really looking for some insight on the mid-level seeds up to any 6-13 seeds that could make it to through the first weekend unscathed. One of them doing that basically equals a 1 or 2 seed getting to the final 4.

Initial leans:
1: Lville/Kansas

2: Miami/OSU

3: NM/Sparty

4: Michigan/?????

5: Wisc/?????

6: UCLA? Don't know shit about any #6 seeds

7:

8: UNC/NCST  Don't see the other 2 #1's losing before sweet 16.

9-16 seeds....

Would really appreciate any advice on which teams you would change and why, or if you'd help fill in the blanks for me. As you know I spend most of my time on the Football and Golf boards, not so much over here.

But gambling addicts are going to gamble they say, so it's not like I have a choice as to whether or not I participate in this draft :SIB

Thanks :0003

Thanks guys.

Have Minny circled to take early because them potentially beating UCLA and UF is worth 4 wins for better seeded team.

Like the looks of the other suggestions. Will post our group's picks later tonight or tomorrow

copy-paste of the email with the list of everyone's teams on it. When we were drinking and getting ready to start we decided to amend the scoring slightly:
Better seed wins: 1 point
Upset <6 seed difference: 2 points
Upset 6+ seed difference: 3 points

The teams are listed by draft order.

1:
Louis. VCU. UNLV. ISU. OU. Nmst. Davidson. Liu/jmu

2:
IU. Mich. Wisc. Pitt. Nova. CSU. Akron. WKent

3:
KU. KState. STL. Temple. Mizz. Cincy. Valproate (not fixing that auto correct). NCAT/LIB

4:
Zags. Marq. OKSt. NCst. SDst. Wichita. Montana. Southern

5:
Miami. Michst. Ucla. ND. Oregon. ILLi. SdakotaSt. Albany

Mine:
Gtown. NMex. Creighton. Minny. Cal. SMC/MTSU. Boise/Lasalle. Pacific

7:
OSU. UF. Memphis. Butler. OMiss. Belmont. Harvard. Iona

8:
Duke. Cuse. UNC. Zona. Buck ell. Colorado. NWSt. FlaGC

Got the 6th pick and hadn't even planned on looking at GTown, but I actually like them after looking at the list. Hopefully get at least 1-2 Ws out of Minny/Cal/SMC/Boise. And Creighton taking down Cincy and Duke would be good. I'm really not expecting that much out of NMexico and didn't like the pick after I made it. We'll see

Did this in the past and it seemed like the teams that nobody really paid attention to in the middle seeds were always the ones that randomly popped an upset. Everyone avoided the 11-seed play-ins, I guess just because they weren't a single team set in the bracket?

just had to bump this because I had the only #2 and #3 seed that got knocked out in the first round. FlaGC was the last pick in the draft and knocked out my 1st round pick.................

My top team left is a #7 seed. :0002

But in all honesty I said from the end of the draft until the tourney started that I didn't like NMex and never even thought about GTown.
