With some of the winnings from the square, I am planning on taking the old lady to somewhere in FL.

Was originally thinking Siesta Key, but now am thinking Key West, or Marco Island.

Don't want Miami.

That is all.

Thoughts?

Fly into Miami and rent a car and drive to Key West. I've done this trip 3 times, it's a great time. There's a lot to do and see along the way. Stop for a night at either Hawks Cay or Marathon Key, then off to Key West, it's really a great drive.

How long of a ride is it? I can only stand about 20 mins in the car w/her before I'm gonna leave her on A1A, or whatever major thoroughfare...

Honestly just looking for somewhere on the beach were we can hang in some parts, go out at night, doesn't need to be anything crazy, as long as I have an ice cold Budweiser in hand.

Little kickserv went to Marco Island all the time when he was a tiny tike.

kickserv loved it.

Of course that really doesn't help, but childhood memories are the best aren't they:SIB

Seriously, why do guys call their wives/significant others "their old lady"? Did that phrase leave awhile back or am I wrong? Not bashing, just don't get it. Just seems so disrespectful.

Also, the choices here are great ideas, especially the drive to the Keys and stop at Hawk's Cay. Good times. But if the old lady bothers you that much, not a good idea, because it is 3 hours from Miami down. Have a good time.

You know what's funny...I always thought that saying "bringing 'the wife'" seemed disrespectful...Hence she's the old lady. I guess at least she's not the 'Hag.

And I guess ideally I wouldn't want to spend a ton of time in a car if wasn't necessary.

Heard Marco was great but lot of elderly.
Heard Key West was great but overpriced?
She's been to Siesta Key, so figured that might be a viable option, but figured I'd also look into other options.

Thanks for all the input!
