My brother does those surveys all the time and when a quick and easy one pops up for something I really need I will do one.

You just sign up on whatever website it is for the free offers. Then you do X amount of their "offers" which is like signing up for a trial membership to netflix or something. Or signing up for scholastic books or a cd club for a month or something.

The tv deal ran me about 85$ total I think. SIgn up, do the trial, cancel and return merchandise. It really is that easy. It just takes legwork to do it. I probably spent about 2 hours total shipping stuff back.

List of stuff my brother has gotten:

stainless steel fridge
wine refrigerator
2 toshiba laptops
3 plasma tv's
$1000 stainless steel grill
Riding lawn mower
more $500 Home depot gift cards than I can count
He's currently working on a 7 person hot tub and a 60" tv offer these days.

He figures the actual out of pocket cost to him for all of the stuff has been about $115 per item.
