question for ya

i've got a deserted Marine Uniform here at my house. What would be the proper thing to do with it? (obviously i don't consider burning it as an option as done with their junk clothing) ........but would it be something that it would be proper to donate to salvation army or anything. (kinda a scary thought to me when i read about iraquis in US Military uniforms)

salvation army and goodwill are both always happy to get old uniforms. I take all my old uniforms there every time I move and have to dump stuff.

what is it? dress blues? cammies?

if its a dress uniform you might consider throwin an ad in the paper.
lotsa old timers want a set of blues to relive their youth and hang on the wall.


hey, you ever get any help for your moving and odds n ends job? never heard who you ended up getting.

i've got probably EVERYTHING he exited the marines with, including his discharge certificate (if that's what it's called) some things i use (flashlights, tools, belts, duffle bags, etc....) but just wasn't sure on *etiquette* as far as old uniforms go. have TONS of his cammies, and dress and hat..... haven't checked the boxes that i still have in the garage lately to remember what is still out there, but the dress uniform i left in the house. LONG story behind this as to why he doesn't have it, but i've kept it here for him to come pick up, and after 2 years, haven't heard a word from him and would prefer it out of here. Thanks for the advice. As long as it's okay to donate it back out to the public, i'll do that

oh, and as far as your question to getting things done around here, it still ISN'T done...LOL (shock)

although right now, i have two parties both volunteering to finish things off on their own in order to get the apartment, so you can bet on of those will be the ones getting it....LOL
