Both teams share the unwanted distinction of losing and not covering their last three games ALL OF WHICH HAVE BEEN AT HOME.
Reminds me of the NBA coach that said, "We can't win at home and we can't win on
the road. I don't know where else to play."
Two of Marquette's losses were in ot, so I'll give some credit for fighting to the finish, but in all their recent battles the line (-14') has never been this high. Also, they were never favored in any of their three losses.
Texas State on the other hand, was favored in two of their matchups. If you can't win when you're favored at home, it doesn't get easier anywhere else.
The linesmaker wins again.
I'm totally mystified.
BUT, if I was forced to make a play, I'd go with Texas State over SO ALA.
Texas State beat them earlier in the season and I think the coaching staff
may use this as the encouragement needed to reverse the downward spiral.
*Note - This is not a "huge huge play". This is very slight lean based on deluded thinking.
