post season fate tbd, but playing a much better team in 2006 ne pats than 2004 ny jets

i live here and know that charger fans will beat it into your brain that martyball is dead......that this offense is unprecidented and amazing......thing is, i heard the same thing in 2004 and the stats above show that the offense in 2004 was VERY SIMILAR and the pieces are still virtually the same.......BUT........ martyball is an end fo game, run the clock philosphy and cameron can unleash the offense all he wants for 3 quarters, but when it's a 3 point game in the 4th quarter, martyball STILL HAS A CHANCE TO APPEAR

marty ball reared it's ugly head in 2004 and i'm willing to bet it will again at some point this weekend or next

NE + 4, 5, 6 + NE moneyline

You keep believing that dude but the fact is this is a totally different team than 2004. Different Defense, different O line, different QB and different offense. If you think it's same as 04 you are only fooling yourself. The reason LT has had a great year is because of the O line (1 pro bowler and two others that should have made it) that were not a part of the 04 team. The Chargers are undefeated at home in 06 and lost 1 or 2 in 04 at home.

Did I mention Marty ball is dead. Fear Cameron Ball! :box2: I've been tooting the job Cam Cameron has done this year and looks like he had three job interviews lined up this past weekend for the open HC jobs in the NFL. I'm sure Marty finally reallizes that he knows what he is doing and has been giving him props and free reins of the offense all year. Why would he stop know.

Granted the line is a bit higher than what I expected it to be but to compare the 04 Bolts to the 06 Bolts is foolish :SIB

FYI in 2004 the Chargers went 7-2 at home....losing to the jets in the regular season and the jets in the post-season

i'm only comapring this years team to 2004 from the perspective of, "martyball is dead". i keep hearing that he has finally learned, he finally has an offense, he will finally open the playbook....etc, etc, etc......when in fact, from a points, yardage nad coaching and key personnel standpoint he had a VERY SIMILAR OFFENSE IN 2004......and he went martyball in the playoffs

with a rookie qb vs billichek, im betting that at some point this guy puckers up and plays it close to the vest. quite honestly balt is a worse matchup for marty but ne is next in line.....worst possible scenario for the chargers, ne-balt......that said, ne is a bit slow on defense.....if the chargers utilize whatever little speed they have (gates vs vrabel or parker vs whomever) they may be okay.....but i'll take the 5-13 track record and keep betting against it.
