Hess is the 6'8 CAA Player of the Yr..He can stick the 3,pass,drive and rebound.The problem is he lost everyone around him.Shaver takes over as coach and has already changed their offense to more of an uptempo style.Cope and Hutt are 6'7 and 6'8 inside players.Throw Hess in there tonite and that gives the Terriers big time matchup problems in the paint.D'Antonio is pretty solid at the pt.Markham who was hurt lyr is back.Mokris has done a nice job off the bench.They are a poor perimeter defensive team and their gds are question marks.
St Fran lyr led the NEC in scoring lyr but 3 of their top scorers are gone.Cavaliera is a good pt gd that can pass and shoot.but brown is there star but still a puppy.He is a soph and former Rice HS star.He can drive and shoot and is a big gd at 6'4.Neckles and Thompson are 6'7 and 6'8 fowards and are Ok but lack some defense.Quintana shot 2-11 from the 3 the other nite.but he can shoot
WM beat Liberty by over 30 but lost to Radford.St Fran lost to UMass but with 8 minuts left was only down by 8-10 pts.But they shot 22-71 and let UMass score 51 points in the paint.
Hess can dominate tonite and I don't see the Terriers defnse stopping them and the bigger front line.WM loves to shoot the 3 with Hess shooting 8-22,and his teammates 3-6,4-9,5-8 and 4-10.
WM should win this by double digits.Game starts early at 6.00est and its in DC.
Texas Tech -2 over Geo Tech..like the Red raiders tonite.Defense,
Purdue -2 over Hall..tough game to capp.Both teams looked bad in last game.Hall was playing D-2 host Alaska-Anchorage and coasting 44-24.Then the fatigue set in and Alaska went on a 26-8 run.They took the lead 58-57 but barrett hit 2 FT's and SH pulled it out by 5.
Purdue did no better struggling with Texas St[Southwest Texas St]
But Purdue does play defense even though SH has Barrett.Purdue is bigger up front and Keady could outcoach Orr even up in Alaska.
Liked Smoo -6 over San Diego but heard one of their top players is out with a family emerg.Will pass then unless someone has an update
