maryland update

man........bruce perry(maryland`s answer to leon searcy),took himself out of practice thursday with a slightly sprained ankle....this on the heels of the suspension of running back sam maldonado for the e.mich game....they also suspended offensive lineman akil patterson(took over for lamar bryant....started n.ill. game).....

this leaves md with only one part of their three pronged running attack if perry`s unable to go.....not good...josh allen will have to tow the load and imo,he`s the lesser of the 3....

on the plus side,e.mich has played 7 bcs schools since 1999 and have been defeated by scores of 39,34,45,34,47,49 and 42.....

the 34`s concern me....

It should not make a difference. Have to disagree though, Allen is the best pure runner they have, not a great receiver, but he is the best rusher. Mario Merrills is a solid back also and he will play. Allen rushes for 200+. MD still by 40.

I don't think it's a crucial blow, Terps still shoud handle EMU.

Like you said, lets hope we're not getting duped. Wish I had waited toplay it, but couldn't have predicted the Maldonado suspension and Perry injury (OK, so my dog could have predicted theperry re-injury:moon: ).

Still, I like the Terps to cover. EMU is awful and is Friedgen wants a lot of points, he'll get them. Allen is a stud, but ets hope the backup RBs are ready to make some big plays too.
