Last week Mass looks like the early Celtics and destroys NC State.Then they travel to the Bronx and play 1-10 Fordham and look like the N.Y.Giants in the last 14 minuts[I'll get to them later]And get beat 80-67.
From a big upset to another upset.Lappas is one of the biggest loud mouth,annoying,etc coaches.But when he was at Nova so many times after getting his butt beaten his team would come back.Well playing Columbia is the perfect "presription".They have no players scoring in double figures.They cannot shoot the ball.They cannot stop anyone on the perimeter or the interior.They have road losses to lehigh by 16 and UAB by 30.They do not press so any team that plays them has hardly any turnovers.
Mass has 6'8 Rodgers inside that can bd and score.Micah at 6'10 and my next door neighbor is avg 6 bds.He is hobbling on a bad ankle though.Anderson can shoot and pass.I watched them vs NC St and was impressed with their defense.If they shut down Hodges and co they will do the same to the Lions.Mass has beaten at home NC by 14,Marshall by 23 and Rider by 22.After a disappionting loss to the rams I think Lappas has these kids coming out smoking.The line is high at 21.5 but they could have that covered by halftime.
