Geoff Ogilvy +120 vs Sergio Garcia 5 units
Ogilvy got off to a great start in his first Masters tournament, shooting a 2-under par 70 to tie for fourth after one day. He has done well in his last two majors with back-to-back top 6 finishes in the British Open and PGA Championships. The fact that Garcia was able to shoot even par at Augusta should be a welcome relief to him. In his L3 Masters tournaments, a total of ten rounds, he has gone under par just twice.
Here are Sergio's round-by-round scores over the L3 Masters:
2005...77--72--Missed cut
2004...72--72--75--66
2003...69--78--74--73
Tiger Woods -150 vs Vijay Singh 5 units
The 2nd round at the Masters has been Tiger's personal playground. Over the L5 years he has averaged a 68.6 in the 2nd round. Singh has shot under 71 only once over his L5 2nd rounds in the Masters, back in 2002. Tiger three-putted twice on Thursday and I don't expect to see that again. I expect Woods to make up about two shots on Vijay during Friday's round.
Rod Pampling -110 vs. Lucas Glover 5 units
Just a gut feeling here...Pampling held tight in his first Masters last year for a 5th place finish. Pampling beat Glover by a stroke Thursday...why not again???
