In the last ten years in the nba finals, when the home team wins game 1, they are 6-2 SU in game 2, with a winning margin of 13.3 ppg.

Although the first game seemed sloppy, the overall team averages were very close to their respective season averages, with the exception of Miami's free throw percentage. The Heat are still susceptible to long scoring droughts, as they have been against good defensive teams throughout the playoffs. The Mavs have many offensive weapons, and although Terry had a stellar game 1, Howard, Nowitzki, Steakhouse and Harris all had below-average games. Shaq only took 11 shots, so the Mavs did a good job at denying him the ball. As long as the Mavs can continue to limit the Heat's role players to sub-par games and Diop continues his defense-only game on Shaq, I think the Mavs roll through the series.
