As of right now, I am laying off of the Kansas State-Nebraska game. My view on the game is that Nebraska is the better team.....they have played a comparable schedule to K State and have arguably played better. K-State has played great the last month, but against who? Most computer rankings will tell you that Nebraska is better and that the home advantage they have is huge! But I look at the line and they are a home underdog? I can probably count on one hand the amount of times Nebraska has been a home dog in the last 10 years, and it had to be against a team better than Kansas State.

Now...I am not naive to think that Nebraska is a great football team....but they are good, and this is a HUGE game, and you know how Nebraska fans get at home in a big game. Neither team has beaten anyone to prove how good they really are. I do know that Nebraska is only allowing 6 points a game at home and the home team in this series has not lost in a LONG TIME.

Do people like Kansas State because the media has already placed them in the BIG 12 title game? All I hear is how Oklahoma will walk through the rest of the schedule until they play K-State in the title game, then if K-State gets hot, who knows? Well, that is fine and good, but dont they have to go into Nebraska and win the game first? Seems a little premature. But yet everywhere I go, Kansas State is a HUGE consensus pick. It is baffling me, and I usually do not get baffled by these types of things, but I will tell you that if this line makes it to 3....I am unloading on the BlackShirts. It is at home and K-State is not all that good in my opinion.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yea..if I said nebraska is the better team, I probably mis-wrote. I guess my feelings are that I dont know who is better, neither team has really been tested!

The winner of this game plays in the Big 12 title game.......unless MU beats KState next week.

After watching this NU team get manhandled by Mizzou and Texas, you have to put the money on KState. Again, a ONE dimensional team that can be shut down easily. NU does not do well against mobile QB's. Have shown it all year.

The KState coaches are VERY confident about this one.

I am taking Kansas St. huge today. I think KSU is more talented on both sides of the ball. Nebraska IMO is somewhat over-rated. They rely on turnovers. So simple gameplan for KSU is don't make any turnovers.

I agree with Jaycadd that Nebraska has been horrible against mobile QB's and Robertson is awesome runner. I read that Nebraska DL is not very good putting pressure on QB and that KSU also willl be able to run between the tackles. Nebraska is better defense against the pass. Nebraska cannot load up in the box because KSU can beat you with the pass. Nebraska cannot beat you with the pass so KSU will load the box.

Who would you take, Robertson or Lord? Easy choice. Lord is just not a good qb and hopefully he does not connect on one on one deep passing plays. He has not all year so why should he today.

Also, KSU has the better RB in Sproles and this guy is a stud. I think if Nebraska can stop Sproles, they won't be able to stop Robertson as well on broken down pass plays.

People mention KSU not winning in Nebraska in last 17 years, but remember KSU has just been dominant the last 5-10 years and Nebraska has been down for only the last 2 years. So that means nothing to me.

I went to fans sites, and KSU fans are very very confident and most are predicting double digit victory. I also visited Nebraska fans and most seem very worried about this game.

Look for a LB Marvin Simmons on KSU. The guy is a STUD! He was injured early in year but he been playing extremely well last 2 games. He wanted to go to USC but his grades were poor and Carroll went into another direction. USC sure could use him now with 5 injured LB's!

I only fear 2 things. KSU turnovers and KSU not playing tough schedule in their recent win streak (raises some ???). However KSU beat the bad teams like they are suppose too. Hopefully today Nebraska does not benefit from turnovers like they have all year. I also think their defense is over-rated.

My other big bet is Tulsa +1 over Louisiana.

Think you are right Scott about Nebraska benefiting from TO's alot this year .... they lead the country or something like that in turnover margin .... scary game for me to pick from here in Big 12 country as Huskers haven't looked that good against better competition and K-State has beaten pretty weak teams lately .... kind of hard to get a read on either team's real ability .... however with El Roberson and Sproles that will be to much for Nebraska to contain. K-State 27-17 is my call. Good luck all!
