Try having a prop bet McGrady points/rebounds/assists over 45. He had 41 going into the 4th. Sits out the quarter. Anyone who ever compares this guy to Kobe as being one of the best SG in the game is crazy. T-Mac can't win a big game, absolutely pathetic.

Very ignorant posts regarding McGrady. What else did you want the guy to do this series? He played tremendous. And from about the All-Star break on, carried the team on his back.

They were down 28 going into the 4th quarter....he had 27pts, 7rebs, 3 blocks and 7 assists at that point. Besides Yao, did anyone else show-up last night for Houston? The seven other players in the Rockets rotation played as poorly as can be imagined. I think they had a little bit more to do with Houston getting trounced than McGrady did.

McGrady quit in Orlando last year. His team only won 21 games. I don't understand how Vince Carter is constantly ripped for quitting on the Raptors, and McGrady somehow escapes similar criticism.

I will tell you right now McGrady is not in the same competitve mindset of Jordan, Johnson, Thomas, or Bird. Modern day players not on the same level would be Duncan, Hakeem, Kobe, Shaq. Those players wanted to win at all costs. They would not have sulked on the bench in an embarassing 4th quarter loss. Kobe and Shaq might not have liked each other, but they did win 3 titles together, they had that competitive edge.

Case and point for my T-Mac topic. A couple of seasons ago when his team was up 2-0 in a 1st round best of 5 series vs Detroit he began talking about the second round. He couldn't lead his team to a victory in that series and he is still waiting for his first play-off series victory.

Stats can measure on-court talent, but wins and championships measure heart and a desire to win. T-Mac has the talent, just something missing that will hold him back his entire career.

Hucklebuck- I agree 100%... McGrady doesn't have that fire that Jordan, Kobe, Iverson all seem to have. Yeah, McGrady played well but Dallas is horrible defensively - He wouldn't put up similar stats versus the Spurs, Pistons, etc...
