There is no way in hell that merited an ejection. That should've been a technical, not a fucking ejection.

I now it's unecessary and probably dirty a bit, but no way in hell he should've been ejected.

I bet Miami big and I disagree, if you let everyone start taking swings at players and only give out a technical it will get ugly. Trust me coming from someone that has been in a few on court brawls if they would have ejected the first guy instead of just giving a technical then things wouldnt keep escalating.

you could clearly tell that it wasn't going to go any further. they both made amends and shook hands.

refs made a knee jerk reaction and should've just gave up a T

He deserved every bit of that ejection. Another thug punk at the U. It's not OK to take a swing at a guy period.

Pretty pathetic for people to jump to conclusion and label the kid a punk. If Hansbrough or Harangody did it, would you label them a punk??? Even Jay Bilas said he got to know him well and he's not a dirty player.

Kid made a mistake.

Chris Paul hit a player in the nuts while at WF. Everyone loves the kid now.

This was the right call. There can't be any gray area with this rule. If you take a swing at someone, no matter what, the refs have to eject them. Otherwise, it opens up too many pandora's boxes. And besides, its not like McClinton even swung at the guy and missed. He made contact! I don't care if it was an open-hand bitch slap or not. A swing is a swing. And I'm not saying he's a punk ass or anything like that.....but it was certainly a stupid reaction to have.

Well if Jay Bilas said he was a good guy than by God he is. :mj07:

Too bad the refs didn't give Jay a call for a reference before ejecting him.

That wasn't my point, and you know it.

My point was that people who don't know the guy shouldn't label him. I wasn't referencing anything to do with the call.

jack is far from a punk....ive spoke with him quite a few times over the last yr or so and hes one of the most humble people you will ever meet. works harder at hoops than any player ive ever heard of. it was just a reaction after he got hit by the guy guarding him. he lost his cool for a second and if thats never happened to you, youre full of shit. that incident in no way reflects him as a person, just a unfortunate retaliation. and believe me, you will never see him make a mistake like that again.
