Gotta wonder if the sprain just deteriorated throughout the game.
They had the game won early in the third. Kept him in. Go figure.

My fantasy team's quarterbacks: McNabb, Maddox, Fiedler. There goes the season.

Don't want to make light of the situation though, especially Maddox. Really hope he's ok.

I also can't figure why McNabb kept playing. If I heard right they say he broke it on the 3rd play of the game?? He may have done more damage than good by staying out there all that time.

No, luckily. But I have side bets on the McNabb/Maddox team with about 7 other owners.

The money league team has Brooks and Vick as the QB's...but is also the team with no defence and a hurt Marshall Faulk.

Philly is officially done. Looks to me like it's between Green Bay and Tampa.

The question is, how strong will that running game be when opposing D's don't have to worry about Donovan? Detmer is no Dilfer, and this Philly D is good, but doesn;t compare to that Ravens defense.

Just my opinion.

koy is better than dilfer, just wait and see on MNF. this kid will get the job done.

koy is mobile, no where near mcnabb, but he can move. look for lots of short passes, double TE sets next week, screens.

o line needs to block next week, more than ever. hold 1 time !!!!

sf o vs birds d
gotta keep those big wr from going deep. eagles blitzes vs garcia goin long to owens or streets.

brian mitchell is due to break 1, why not on MNF !!!

Oh, I'm not implying that they aren't still a quality team. But I don;t see how anyone would think without McNabb they have a shot at the Super Bowl.

If he comes back for the start of the playoffs, he willhave zero room for error. We shall see.

There will be a BIG rush next Monday of bettors hitting SF. Philly may actually be a good play. I've got a theory (actually, I've got dozens of theories, and this one isn't really mine, but...). It's the First Game After The Injury Theory (F.G.A.T.I.T.?). Teams tend to bond together and put out one great effort in the first game after their star player gets hurt. Over the long run a team can't sustain it, but in the short-term the team with the injury comes up big. This seems to work in all sports to some degree. And the line is usually skewed heavily in your favor betting on this team because you're betting on the team that everyone thinks is up the creek without a paddle. I'd be careful betting them in the 2nd game after the injury and beyond though.

It's not exactly the same situation...but look how Pittsburgh played today after Maddox got knocked out. They'd been doing nothing for most of the game, then Maddox gets hurt, Kordell comes in and suddenly they came to life by putting up a couple quick scores. They really had the Titans on their heels, but ran out of time.

So I'll probably be on Philly next Monday. But then again, considering the brutal day I had today, you may want to ignore any advice I offer.

Two weeks ago I was ready to sell my Eagles/Giants tickets on Dec. 28th. Now, if things play out right, that game should decide the NFC East winner. Also, great to see some payback for the Giants losing Hillard...

BTW - Anyone who thinks that Thrash and Pinkston are great receivers without McNabb are in for a rude awakening!

This is almost like Green Bay playing w/out Favre. Forget it. Detmer can't play. At least Brady and Bulger had promise when they were thrust into the situation; they hadn't failed yet. This is a whole new ballgame.

Just what was Reid thinking? This wasn't the 99 Rams he was facing; not even a divisional opponent. I guess he was just trying to make sure his team covered the number (which Philly usually does when they win).

Anyone ever hear of Tom Brady or marc Bulger before their star QB's went down to injury???

Uhhh, don't think so. Those guys were young, hadbeen groomed for a few years, and had never played in the league. Detmer is a retread. Silly comparison.
