I hope your group includes a physician, a farmer, a carpenter, and a hunter. You may need them all. Reread about the Donner Party*, figure out where they screwed up. Stockpiling food is good, but no good if you run out of heat and meds and water.

And figure out how to keep invisible. If your SHTF dream comes true, you won't be able to fight off the thousands, so make sure they can't find you.

*Hint: They were tough people, but there was too much they didn't know.
