In 1972 I was at Kerr Hall dribbling a basketball between my legs in the lobby at North Texas State.Then I saw this pretty girl who was 5'10 with blue eyes,long hair,slim body from Paris,Texas.It was love at first site..Our 1st date was to.......ahhhh Forget it.
My boys play Troy tonite.What a game.NT is last in the country in total offense,passing offense and 2nd to last in scoring avg.They are also last in the nation in punt returns at -2.How can you be -2 in punt returns.It's impossible..But it is
Cobb and Thomas led the nation in rushing the past 2 yrs.NT last 2 games vs Tulsa and Kansas St has been outscored 108-9.There win over Midd Tenn was a fluke when MT turned the ball over inside the 20, 4 or 5 times.Meagher there Qb is terrible.Defensive line and DB's are all new.LB's are tough.
Troy isn't any better.They are so turnover prone but have played UAB,Mizzou and So Car.
Troys defense is a little better and there offense a little better.BUT NT owns the Sun belt.This is there worst team in 4 or 5 yrs but maybe Cobb or Thomas break a few.Troy will put 9 guys on the line.My buddy e-mailed me last nite and said if 'NT lined up a WR with no one on him..and he did a fly pattern Meagher wouldn't hit him over 25 yds." He would be short or long.
These 2 teams lyr lost so much to graduation.
Going with my heart and alma mater...But if I was a betting man I might have to lean with Troy.
But NT always seems to win these games.
