Nothing stunning in my 2 plays here:

Vinnie Roe +750 - the class horse of the field, will get 2 miles, trained by a master, slight doubt over its condition but should be close to 100%.

Media Puzzle +550 - in superb form, has flourished on the trip down south, a nice weight and has the background to get the distance.

Cheers mate - was very close to throwing Beekeeper in there too and have it in the trifectas. Problem with the Cup is always having too many "leans" so am sticking this year to just 2 e-w wagers and some boxed tri's....
Drew Daliapour in the work sweep, has a better show than what I normally get each year

No Valuist....plenty of European horses running!

A nice story about a British horse called Jardines Lookout who is running in the race. He has a stable mate, who is a non racing Welsh horse known only by the name of 'henry'. Well these two horses are inseperable back home at the stables so the owners have flown 'henry' out at an extra cost of ?10,000 as company for Jardines Lookout.

The Northern Hemisphere horses certainly have the wood on the Aussie stayers now that the top stables and trainers have started to target this race. Although the Kiwi horses still mix it most years

Have a heavy head this morning after y'day's victory - also boxed Beekeeper and Pugin with the field x field in half-unit trifectas so cashed very nicely

And u r right Crooky - I definitely shed a tear or two when Damien said "The Melbourne Cup doesn't mean anything to me any more. I'd give it back to have my brother back."
