DON'T DEW IT!! DON'T GO TO THE NFL!!

Why?

Bobby Petrino, offensive minded guru, goes to Falcons, gets home sick and learns pro players don't care for you, until you put them in their place, which didn't happen and Bobby was gone quickly back to the college ranks to get him some young piece of.............

Nick Saban, goes the Miami Dolphins, wants complete control, learns South Beach/Miami area is a different country, not just language!! Goes back to the college ranks and he was an NFL assistant at one time.

Pete Carroll, now he sucked in the NFL his first go around, goes to USC, gets some great recruits, sells their moms on gettin an education, right!, and then returns to the NFL and leaves USC with the cheatin he did when he was at USC.

Chip, while the NFL dollars might seem great, it's a different world, older players, different cultures, different towns, stay in Eugene, take the Nike dollars, get some every week with a happy wife and kids and enjoy the college ranks!!!

There is more to success than just making a bigger contract! Look at all the kids' lives you've influenced and their families, look at the kids you have coming in for 2013!!

Plus I don't want you to coach my Eagles in Philly or the Browns in Cleve-burgh or the Cardinals, they suck until someone else buys them. Don't go to San Diego because Spanos doesn't have a clue.

Good luck in Eugene, Chip!!

:violin:

PS: For those of you who think Chip could do well in the NFL, only a select few, Dick Vermeil and Jimmy Johnson did well in the NFL, they also had been coaching in D1 for a long time and knew how to get respect out of players, because they were more than just successful as coaches, they were successful as communicators and they left everything they had into coaching. Chip the NFL will be there when you are ready, not when the NFL is ready.

its cuz the sanctions is coming
Could be possible. How .do you get all those blue chip guys and play that great in the NW?

But from all the recruiting magz and stuff I have studied and listened to the ESPN football gurus, many of the players Chip gets, hardly anyone else in the top 25 normally, teams fluctuate in rankings year to year, were on these kids, Thomas not recruited by many top ranked programs, the QB, same there, only USC and Hawaii on him, Barner same thing, not even Texas or A&M offered him anything.

It will be interesting to see where Chip goes.

Eagles interviewed him but their eyes are on Arians and also the young Shanahan.

Pete Carroll didn't suck the first time he coached in the NFL. He was .500 which is middle of the road. Harbaugh can now safely be called successful after last 2 years. I think Kelly will do fine.

Great point Roger!! I think Chip will do ok, but I really think he'll miss college once he gets to the pros. I know he's committed if he does get the NFL job, but we also have to remember, Jim Harbaugh played in the NFL, coached at some smaller schools like his papa did, and his brother was a successful Eagles assistant, omg, yeah he was there in Philly too, LMAO!! I just feel Chip is better served doing his thing in the college ranks and if he goes back to the Ducks, they will win the BCS!!

LSU will lose almost everyone to the NFL it seems, Alabama will have to groom some new players as well.

But we shall see!!

Good stuff!! Thanks! :0074

Chip is back at Oregon so no worries. They seem to lose that one key game every year but what a run he has had.
