war eagle, heard about this and i'm excited. being that avery has been out up until now- do you think he will be that much of a contributor ??

ps. what do you think of this year's bball team ? no massey. but more quickness this year and more athletes than last year. i am always very critical, but so far i am pleased.

Elvis, i do think Avery will have a very positive influence for the Tigers. He will run, pass, and catch. If he is well enough to practice, he is well enough to play. We still have one week for him to get close to 100%. This kid is a playmaker, much like DeAngelo. The Tiger O will find a way to get him the ball early and often. I know NT has won something like 7 in a row, but only beating ULL by 2 points and New mexico by 3 makes me wonder:nono:

As far as the bball goes. This team resembles the old Umass Cal teams. Up and down. Banks is amazing. I can't wait to see him in person. The main thing that scares me is big Red. He can not and will not even come close to matching up against the likes of cinncy's Mad Max. We will get a good idea against the Illini next weekend. Carney will play in the NBA. Richmond talks too much. Burks looks as if he has taken a step back... Rice is solid. I know nothing about Lopez. All that being said they should make the NCaas as about a #10 seed IMO.

Skipper,I forgot Joe Don Baker.Class of '59...
Also Abner Hayes of the old AFL.He still is a legend in the AFL's Championship game.He won the toss, gave the ball to the other team and defended the wrong goal.
Plus my hero Spider Lockhart of the Giants.John Love,AD Whitfield and going way back, the great WR Ray Renfro.
Steve Austin the wrestler, all the Van ????? brothers in wrestling. Can't remember last names. Two are dead now.

Will capp this game this weekend.Hope I do a better job then the North Texas-Baylor b-ball game..
Elvis can't make it down there. Was invited to the North Texas-St Bonnie game in Olean,NY on Dec 20th.But I'm 5 hours south of Olean,NY.
Elvis we are going head to head with a bet right?I'll offer you an Army Black Nite hat or a Mean green one.Or T-shirts.I'll take a memphis hat or t-shirt.

I didn't know about Larry Finch. What a shame.I remember seeing him for the 1st time.We all knew he was the stud from all the press. But seeing him warmup before the game was shocking.A "chubby" looking kid, almost fat.But boy could he play. What a jumper he had. There was no 3 pt play back then but he had range from row 4.
Elvis hope you have a great time.Enjoy Bourbon Street. Because that will be the only part of your trip you enjoy.Once you enter the stadium it will be all downhill..llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
