can't figure out this one myself.

This is a poor man's version of "hiding the wires". Like you have a tv mounted on the wall and instead of putting an electrical box directly behind the tv, you would run the cord down the wall and plug it in. It looks cheesy.

So instead of moving the electrical box they just ran the cord behind the wall and pulled it out near the box.

Pretty much every single guy has tried this in order to save $20 putting in a new electric outlet behind the tv.:142smilie
