One of the best conserts that I have ever saw was around 1992 it was the Monster of Rock:
Bands played in this order:
Kindom Come
Dokken
Metalica
Scorpions
Van Halen
Metalica completely blew away the other bands that day. As I recall, the concert had two dates back to back and the first night the venue had issues with fights etc...so they banned booze sales for the following day. It was around 100 degrees the following day and Metalica came out and had beer cup holders on all of their instruments and mikes with Coors Light cans. They opened up with "Trapped Under Ice" and began to pound beers on stage and the crowd went wild. They then played "Ride the Lightning" and had a Roadie toss cans of Coors out to the crowd and this continued the rest of the concert.

Must be my lucky week :0074 And yes Metallica did sell out, their best shit was all the early stuff.
