-- The Mets will be in search of the first four-game road sweep of San Francisco in their history tonight when Mike Pelfrey puts his unbeaten record on the line in the series finale at AT&T Park.

Pelfrey got off to a rough start but has settled down considerably, giving up just 10 earned runs in his past four starts combined. He is just 2-8 lifetime in May but 1-0 in his career against the Giants after beating them 7-0 last July 8 at Shea.

Pelfrey will square off against San Francisco right-hander Matt Cain, who is 2-3 with a 5.23 ERA in five career starts against the Mets but has dropped each of his last three decisions versus the Amazin's.

As for the lineup, Jose Reyes is out for the fourth game in a row due to a calf strain. Daniel Murphy also is playing again in left field, with Gary Sheffield shifting over to right in place of Ryan Church.

Here is the 21-15 Mets' order for the 8:05 p.m. game:

Alex Cora SS
Luis Castillo 2B
Carlos Beltran CF
Gary Sheffield RF
David Wright 3B
Daniel Murphy LF
Omir Santos C
Jeremy Reed 1B
Mike Pelfrey RHP (4-0, 4.89)

Pelfrey's numbers against the Giants' hitters

The 18-18 Giants will counter with:

Kevin Frandsen SS
Pablo Sandoval 3B
Bengie Molina C
Randy Winn LF
Nate Schierholtz RF
Aaron Rowand CF
Travis Ishikawa 1B
