Sorry brother.....best in National League only (by a clear margin).

Yanks, A's, Chisox, Twins, Tigers....alll better. Lucky though that the AL will have to beat up on each other while the Mets may cruise to the World Series finals.....although I will be taking a shot on the Marlins if they make the playoffs.

Records.....you said best team not best record. Hell the Blow Jays would have 85 wins if they were in the national league. The teams I mentioned would all have at least 90 wins by now.

Inter-league proved the AL is stronger this year. Colo was the strongest NL team by far.

Then I expect all of you to put you money where you mouth is.
When the Mets make the world series, I expect all of you to bet against them, in series plays, and in individual games. I know I will go out winning money. Do you???

Just because there record was good in inter league means nothing. Looking at the teams played means a little more. Mets played the Yankees 6 times, the Red Sox 3 times Blue Jays 3 times

Solid point Flip. The Mets are the only NL team that could even compete for a playoff possiblilty in the AL and personally I don't think they would. Sure they will be in the finals.....there is no competition. The Mariners would walk to the finals too if they were in the NL. Anyone who doesn't get the difference between the 2 leagues doesn't know squat about baseball. Argue all you want but every sports writer....player....commentator...house wife knows this to be the fact. Don't get me wrong though...it is not the Mets fault that the NL is equivalent to the Triple A.

Went out to the game on Saturday, fun to see so much excitement at Shea in the middle of September.

I'm a bad baseball fan, with the start of the NFL today baseball season is pretty much over, but will be quietly rooting for the Mets during the playoff run. Like this lineup and hope they give the AL representative fits.
