Mets are definately the the best in the NL.

There isn't another team that wins consistantly

home and on the road. There is chemistry

amoung these guys, and a manager who knows

how to keep this team focussed until their

mission is complete.

I was at the famed Buckner game in '86 and the

winner 2 nights later, fantastic experience!!!!

Would love to see a rematch of that same series!

Oliver Perez was not the starter I had in mind. They still have a snowball's chance in hell of beating any of the American League contenders. They are the best team in the NL, whatever that's worth!

I agree that the AL teams are a step above, but

don't write off this Met team as a pretender.

The Mets got desperate with there trade today...

With Sanchez going down for the year...they had to make a move...I guess

But they gave away a decent player in Nady 14 hrs and 40 rbi`s...for 2 BUMS

Roberto Hernandez is Garbage...Old Fuking man
Oliver Perez....2-10 :142smilie ....he was sent to the minors :142smilie

Terrible move :nono:

I would have brought up Henry Owens or Heath Bell to relieve

If the Mets get there....they can beat anyone in the american league

The american league is no lock to win the world series

Mets can hit with anyone in baseball

1. I would've traded whatever (milliage +) for Oswalt - still young enough to get 3-5 strong years

2. The trade they did make will help the bullpen - hernandez is decent middle relief, is familiar with the team from last year - had to do something w/ sanchez going down

3. I'm glad they didn't over-pay - trade-wise - for Zito

4. I was a big Oliver Perez fan 2 years ago when he led the majors in K/9 inn. he was filthy. it seemed like the guys problem, at least initially, was his confidence. I like giving him a shot next spring to make the rotation, but will only help this year as a lefty-specialist out of pen (if he can even give us that).

5. if bats keep going the way they have all year they will run through NL and then play a tough world series vs AL, may lose that - but won't lose to anyone in PATHETIC NL

with that said, LETS GO METS .... keep making me $$$ all year long ..... :toast:
