From True Hoop blog

In his exit interview, Metta World Peace was asked about coach Mike Brown.

Compared to Phil Jackson, he said, it was a "drastic change."

But then World Peace went to some trouble, apparently to make clear he was not blaming his coach for the Lakers' playoff departure.

"Mike wasn't out there guarding Kevin [Durant]," he explains. "That was me. Kevin scored on me. Mike didn't miss that 3-point shot. I missed it. Mike didn't come into camp out of shape."

Then he paused.

"Wait ... he did come in out of shape. Mike is a fat ass."

Meta world peace is a bitch :0074

He may have some mental health difficulties, but in no way is he a "bitch." In the exit interview he took responsibility for his mistakes and delivered a hilarious one-liner. How exactly does that make him a bitch?

What did Larry Bird do?

One of the biggest trash talkers in NBA history. My favorite story about his trash talk:

Bird once told Indiana's Chuck Person before a game that he had a Christmas present for him. During the game, he made a three in front of the Pacers' bench, turned to Person and said, "Merry fucking Christmas."

I hear ya, but trash talking is an acceptable part of the game.
Elbows to the head is not.

Hell, I feel like punching Harden in the face every time I see him on TV. By all accounts he is a nice guy, but that mohawk and beard I'm sure make the majority of non-Thiunder fans feel like taking a swing at him.

Elbows are an acceptable part of the game. You just have to do them in the right spots. Like Bird:

You could fill this list up with Larry Bird stories. He's known for some of the greatest trash-talk on the court. But the best story is about Bird leveling his brand of comedy right at Dennis Rodman.

I'll let Rodman tell it: "'I would be all over him, trying to deny him the ball, and all Larry was doing was yelling at his teammates, I'm open! Hurry up before they notice nobody is guarding me!' Then he would stick an elbow in my jaw and stick the jumper in my face. Then he would start in on my coach, 'Coach you better get this guy out and send in somebody who's going to D me up, because it's too easy when I'm wide open like this.'"

Ice cold, Larry. Damn.

Artest is a criminal in an NBA jersey. This guy would be in the pen if he couldn't play basketball.
