I've lived in Mexico for 11 yrs. It's a good life but nothing is free here. Housing and utilities are cheaper here and the climate is perfect. No heaters or air condition needed.
But.....
I pay $100 for my wife's USA visa. It's good for 10 years.
I pay $120 this year for my mexican visa and goes up every year.
They frown on anybody that doesn't speak spanish.
I'm not allowed to work. (as if I want to)
I can only own 49% of a business. A Mexican has to own the other 51%
A drivers license test is in spanish only.
Everybody thinks all americans are rich. In a survey taken here most people thought the minimum wage in the states is $15 an hour.
