I don't even think the Heat played that well. Not to take anything away from them. The Knicks just played some of the worst basketball I have ever witnessed in my life.

I think you're right, Roger. Something like 10 or 11 games they have lead by DD and ended up losing. To think the Knicks have the highest P/R in the NBA at over 80 plus million...they are still paying 29 million to Larry Johnson and 17 million to Luc Longley...both are out of basketball...they will be a sad, sad team for a while.

I saw that salary cap info on johnson and luc...but somebody please tell me how they got stuck in the A!@ with that one? I don't get it...29 mil over 2 years to larry and 17 some odd mil to longley...and they both don't even play anymore? how did that happen?

i think the rule is that :

if a player is under a contract and they retire in betn due to xxxx
then the team is stuck with the salary.

If the NBA thinks that the retirement was entirely due to injury they can allow the team a larger salary cap or something like that ..

as far as i know the players still get paid even if they are not playing .. its all in legal lingo

Cheers !!!
