LOL, BBC.

Where is TCSN? Usually he's here to reply 32 seconds after somebody 'calls' him.

Yeah, Miami is a 'lock' to win the NC. They're dominant, for sure. Jeez, they've been 'exposed' as many times as any other team this year. It's just that they've been 'exposed' by a 40 pt underdog and 2 twenty point underdogs. Not to mention the little 2 td underdog with the high FG snap. Give me a break with all the Miami is unbeatable crap.

They'll do well to beat V.Tech.

Still think Miami is the best team in the country, but not as strong as previous teams. Would like to see them play Oklahoma for the championship.

Bobby,

My father was a huge ND fan. years ago they had a big following in NYC.Think it was called the subway alumni. He was almost blinded by his loyalty. Thought they could beat anyone. So, I understand where you are coming from in your loyalty to ND. But do you really think ND would beat Miami?

I've seen Notre Dame beat everybody with worse teams than this. But, no, I personally don't think that Notre Dame would beat Miami if the game played out as it should, but why should I be one of the few that debate with facts here.

If it can be said that Ohio State would be 5-5 in the Big XII and the SEC, that Iowa should be going to the NC game and Miami is just on another level than the rest of the teams in the NCAA, then surely I can say that ND can whoop 'em.

I was more making a point to the people who think that a team gets "exposed" because they don't go 12-0 SU and 11-0-1 ATS

Until Miami gets beat they still are the best

Sorry but Notre Dame was exposed as a cinderella fraud who ran out of luck.

Let's look at common opponents between ND and Miami. Miami played FSU at Miami and was extrememly lucky to win, Notre Dame played FSU in Tallahasse and ND beat them pretty easy. Miami Played Pitt in Miami and damn near loss but gave up 21 points to a team that Notre Dame held to just 10 points. Miami played BC in Miami and were in trouble up until BC fell apart in the 4th quarter, Notre Dame turned the ball over 5 times and still had a chance to beat BC. You people slay me every team in the country has had close wins over less than questionable competition and you people still can't see that Miami is a fraud. I am not saying Notre Dame is that great a team but at the beginning of the year everyone predicted they would be lucky to win 7 games and they have done better than that and all of you berate them like they were expected to win the National Championship. Notre Dame will finish 10-2 and I will take that and grin my ass of because you people sit here and preach about how you should not let personal prejiduces cloud your judgement and allot of very solid cappers on this site are acting like Michigan is going to roll up the Buckeyes just because they hate Ohio St. I can't wait to come back here Saturday afternoon and tell all you Michigan backers I told you so when the Buckeyes spank the Wolverines. (And yes I will be back if they lose also!!)

Robert......what is your definition of a "fraud" anyway...... call it what you will....but miami is undefeated and #1....and you can say what you will about them....but the bottom line is they win the games they play. how can you argue with that?! when ND was winning their games at the beginning of the year, many people were saying they got lucky....but bottom line then was that they were getting the W's..... Many people want to knock OSU also....but they find a way to win. how can you call a team a fraud when every time they take the field.....the other team has had that date on their minds all year....as being the team that is going to knock off the canes. There are reasons they haven't lost in 2 1/2 years..... its called ,talent, excellent coaching, resiliency, and rising to the occasion when needed...... and yes....they have gotten some luck along the way too...but one of the best compliments to luck is the above mentioned reasons. im curious to see your definition of a fraud too........

and also.....the whole common opponent thing is an argument i hate hearing.....sometimes there is validity to it when comparing stats.....but in college football, there are so many other intangibles that go into that....... i mean..... i could sit here and give reasoning through common opponents that army could beat NC state, louisville,FSU and maryland......
army beat tulane
tulane beat tcu
tcu beat louisville
louisville beat fsu
fsu beat UMD
UMD beat NC st

now IN NO WAY am i saying this one.....bc i know ppl will be ready to jump on me for this......but this one was just in good humor....but the common opponent card is one i dont really like to play.....:nono:  :brows:

Fraud was probably not the right word to be honest. I only use common opponents as a small part of handicapping as I am not one to stick to just one method I use all of them. I wasn't using like opponents to say Notre Dame could beat Miami I was just trying to show that Miami has not played the toughest of schedules. They may have won all of their games but that is only because they have not played the right team yet. Oklahoma, USC, Iowa, Ohio St are all teams I truly think could prove that Miami is not as good as advertised. Again this is my opinion and I respect others opinions but in my opinion Miiami is not the best team in the country bottom line and we will all see when they lose the Fiesta and by the way there is a line up in Vegas on a potential Ohio St/ Miami Fiesta Bowl Miami is favored by 12 and if it stays that way I will be taking Ohio ST and the Money Line provided they beat Michigan as I think they will Saturday.

I AM NOT A MIAMI FAN,BUT I DO ENJOY WATCHING THEM PLAY. THIS YEAR'S TEAM IS NOT AS DOMINANT AS LAST YEAR. HOWEVER, HOW CAN YOU DOG A TEAM THAT JUST WINS ? OHIO ST (NO OFFENSE) HAS HAD THEIR CLOSE GAMES TOO. MIAMI HAS TO PLAY A NUMBER OF TEAMS IN THE BIGEAST THAT THEY BEAT EVERY YEAR. MIAMI GETS EVERY TEAM'S BEST GAME. BESIDES, WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME A TEAM WON 10 GAMES IN A ROW, 32 IS IMPRESSIVE. ALSO, DIDN'T ND BARELY BEAT NAVY ? ND LOST TO BOSTON COLLEGE. HOWEVER, THEY BEAT A GOOD MICHIGAN TEAM AS WELL AS OTHERS. BASICALLY, IT IS TOUGH TO COME OUT AND PLAY EXCELLENT EVERY WEEK. WE NEED A PLAYOFF BCS SUCKS.

ELVIS you said the magic words. The only way to truly prove who is the best team in the country is to have a playoff but they never will becaue the powers that be are making more money this way!

With a playoff system, tomorrow's matchup between OSU-Mich takes on all of the drama of a Texas Tech-Kansas bball matchup in January.

Every game counts. or college football turns into every other sport.

Good to see the most dangerous man in America. Haven't seen you since ND stopped covering.

Miami is certainly not as strong as it has been in the past. That being said, they have won 30 plus games in a row and that is quite a feat. They haven't looked real impressive in every game this year, but they still win every game. Reminds me of great race horses that never draw off and win by five lengths - but they win every race if it is by a nose or a neck or a length. The Canes have responded to every challenge and proved best at the end. Until somebody beats them, it is pretty hard to put them behind anybody.

A PLAYOFF SYSTEM W/ SAY 8 OR 16 TEAMS WOULD BE PERFECT. YOUR GAME WOULD STILL HOLD MAGNITUDE. HUGE RIVALRY FOR ONE, BUT THE OUTCOME WOULD EFFECT SEEDING. BESIDES, SAY YOU OSU WON FOUR STRAIGHT IN PURSUIT OF A TITLE - THEY WOULD BE NC FOR SURE. I BET IOWA WISHES THEIR WAS A PLAYOFF. BUT THERE ISN'T AND THERE WON'T BE UNTIL THE MAJOR CONFERENCES GET TOGETHER, OR THEY KICK THE RIDICULOUS NCAA TO THE CURB.

I bet Iowa wishes that they played second halves this year. And I bet they wished that they scheduled out of the MAC.

Ohio State-Michigan turns into two teams fighting for a better spot in the tournament.
