I want to pound Michigan, but I just hate laying points on the road in College.

I just can't see Minnesota even being in this game.

They really look like shit this year.

Does anyone have any reasoning for playing Minnesota?

Minny will be one of my Top Plays this week! Too much emphasis on the "revenge" factor here I feel with how Minny embarrassed Mich on their home field last year. All I'm seeing is how Mich rolls in this game easily and how much Glen Mason is an idiot. If this were AT Michigan totally different story, but this is just too many points. It'll probably keep going up all the way till gametime. I'm waiting a few days to play it probably......GL!

This line opened up -4.5! Now it's -10 and rising.....WAY too much $$ on one side here. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see MICH win this by 3 late with them getting their revenge, but most importantly Minny getting the $$$$ with Vegas!!

:nono: be careful w/ that one. And the line didn't open up at -4.5, it was -9.5. This could just be a sucker bet to Minnesota backers from last year. "They upset them last year in the Big House, now we're getting 10pts at Minny"...

this is coming from an article on Minnesota's football webpage
"Whatever the explanation, the Gophers better clean up their mistakes and do it quickly if they hope to avoid their first 0-2 start in the Big Ten since 2001 because Michigan comes to town on Saturday.

Even a flawless performance might not be enough. Michigan is 4-0, ranked No. 6 in both polls and looks nothing like the team that slogged its way to a humbling 7-5 record in 2005."

Feeling of the article is that the team and campus has already given up hope on this game
Article

And revenge factor in college football is huge, especially in the Big Ten.

AND even with all that put aside, Michigan still greatly outmatches this Minny team. In Minny's 2 wins over Temple & Kent St, they've depended on the run. Michigan's Run Defense has allowed 75 TOTAL yards in all 4 four games. Minnys Passing game is decent, but they will have to depend on it completely to score any points against the Michigan D

I can write some more but I don't have the time right now. Each is entitled to their own opinion, but I see this game having blowout potential favoring Michigan
GL!

Yeah I heard CWood97 on here got it at an opening line of -7...I think sportsbook is just delayed, and their earliest line was -9.5, but I know it definately didn't open at -4.5

It opened at 6.5 and by the time I entered my wager it was to 7. Shortly thereafter it jumped to 8.5. (Pinnacle)

This would rate as a play for me all the way up to 13.5. Normally, I would worry about a look ahead to the MSU-PSU-Iowa stretch, but Minny took care of that worry last year with their post game antics with the jug/flag.

Also, UM is very used to seeing the Minny zone blocking schemes this time around. They practiced against them for 3 weeks during two a days.

42-14 UM.

The look ahead to MSU & PSU was also a worry for me...but I'm sure that flag stuffing incident is still on the Mich players' minds regardless of what they say to the media. Michigan is on a mission this season after their embarrassing 7-5 showing last year...thanks for all the info CWood, I'll be right there with you this weekend with a big play on Michigan GL!

Well...the site that I can not name is the one that David Patrick is going for the $100,000. I'm sure you all know which site it is and that site DID have the game open at -4.5. I've been using that site for years for my lines and they are very accurate......GL with Michigan!

minny will play tough at home, and with mich having mich state next week, i am surely not as excited about michigan as much as some of you guys are, they're much better games on the board than laying ten points on the road against a foe that normally plays tough at home. ARROW

in Minny a few years ago, Minny way ahead and MICH came back on miracle, mightve been on halloween, thatsa guess

I had MICH and had taken about 5 horrible beats in a row then lucked out on that one

I saw 8 at pinny early, and if it opened at 6.5, look out :scared

-4.5, I would love that. I'm assuming you didn't take it though? Didn't mean to sound rude by any means earlier, just thought you might have mis-read it...but as far as what I got, it was -9.5, but -4.5 i would love. What's it at now, still -10?

Ya..I was surprised to see -4.5 myself....Obviously it didn't stay there for long as it jumped right to -6.5/7. Like I said I just think this is just way too much on one side here as far as the $$ goes. I do not see a blowout here what so ever with MICH possibly winning a close one, but wouldn't surprise me at all if Minny wins SU! I believe I read earlier that Cupito got knocked out of last year's game and I'm pretty sure he's gonna be fired up for this one at home....SR QB don't forget and he's not that bad. Like I said too if this were AT the Big House waayyyy different story, but AT Minny gives them a fighting chance!

Right Side and others, I respect your opinions, but don't play Minny based on the fact they are at home. Minny is very good against lousy competition at home, and they do a great job of covering big chalk. However, they are just 10-14 ATS vs B10 competition at home since the start of 2002 (2002 was the year they really became competitive in the B10) and they are 0-4 ATS in that span as a home dog. Lastly, in home games against the class of the B10 (Iowa-UM-OSU) in that span they are 0-5 SU and ATS with an avg score of 39 to 27.

This is not the same Gophers team as last year. They lost thier 2 best RBs (Maroney & Russell) and lost 2 all americans on their offensive line. Many "experts" have the Gophers finishing 10th in the Big 10 (I don't think they are that bad!). Gophers took the Little Brown Jug last year for the 1st time in 20 years so it should of left a bad taste for Michigan. I am hitting Michigan hard this week, being from MN they don't have a great home field advantage playing in the Dome off campus. Not the same as playing at Michigan or Ohio St and other top programs.
