Can't say for sure, but I think Smoker's out. I think he's done for the year. I'd be careful taking IND. MSU is 8-5 ATS vs Indiana. Although that stat is not staggering, the fact of a new coach...inspiration...win one for the gipper...whatever, is more than enough to constitute a no play.

Smokers done for season also tailback dawain moss tailback done for season. Moss had stunk it up this season any way but was a captain so more leadership is gone.

smoker is out, gone to rehab, moss is out also but as noted above not much dropoff with replacement. i'd be wary of of expecting team rally around new coach as everything i have seen about this has most of the team extremely upset with coach's firing, so it's difficult to believe new leadership will be a rallying point. however, there is so much difference in athleticism between spartans and hoosiers i'm reluctant to play indiana. may still give the home team a try but right now i'm still fighting stage fright.

The way I see it is both teams should be high for this game.

"The Fighting Dinardos" will be high on enthusiasm, the Spartans well, they'll be high.

First off, Mich State simply has too many strikes against them. An interim coach, internal fighting, poor performance ("who's on first?,...). On and on.

Secondly, Gerry Dinardo has been around too long to let this Indiana team be the scapegoat for the Mich State turmoil.

Thirdly, Indiana's Gibran Hamdan can throw the football.

Lastly, Indiana's defense is less than stellar, but Mich State's offense is non-existent.

INDIANA by 14.

I got burned the other week playing Indiana on the road, where they continue to look out-manned and offensively inept. Still, I look for Indiana to easily win this one at home. DiNardo has his kids playing hard and they believe in him and his system.

Indiana rolled up over 500 total yards of offense against Iowa at home, and could have won the game but for all the turnovers in the redzone. Just don't see Michigan State doing anything other than showing up and getting one more game off their schedule.

Like Indiana in this spot, like it even more now that the line is down to -2.5.

the only way the state kids can make any money on this one would be to lose outright(unlike the rice game early this season)...with the lid blowing off this mich st season,that collapse vs a mediocre rice team and the miraculous touchdown notre dame scored to win the game begin to look very shaky...that td pass still stinks to high heaven(in my humble opinion)......small play on indiana.... ..those mich st kids gotta have a little christmas money...
