Why didn't he draft Sam then? Want to make a wager on Sam being activated for this Sunday's game?
Absolutely not activated this week...when they play on Sunday primetime NBC the first time he will be activated :0074 its all part of the marketing scheme

According to Profootball Talk you are correct....The Cowboys are already selling Sam's jersey....That does not happen to a player on the practice squad....There is speculation that if & when he gets promoted the Boys will give him a different number so they can sell that....
Jones has proven he doesn't know how to build a winning team, but he does know how to market his product....

This is the truth...I grew up 100 miles east of Dallas and watched the cowboys since I was a kid and I despise Jerry Jones, he only wants to be mediocre and market his team not win Super Bowls...Thats what its all been about for 20 years since he fired Jimmy
Al pretty much nailed it here. He's there to sell jerseys, who knows if the Cowboys will need him or not? He did have a pretty good preseason though and you need to give him credit for that. The jersey sales numbers will be terrific though, he is a master marketer but is not football savvy. Him and Snyder = two peas in a pod. The stupidest move Jones has made recently was firing Ryan who had a new job within hours of getting let go. Look how Ryan did with the Saints last year and their defense, it was unbelievable.

Sam did well against 3rd and 4th stringers that didn't make teams, lets see how he does against 1st stringers...I hope he is great and has a long career with the Cowboys, I could care less if he is gay if he can play then thats great. I do not think he can play and Jerry is merely signing him to sell jerseys to an un tapped gay football fan market, practice squad for starters and if he sells lots Sam will be promoted by week 4 when they play on Sunday night to the 53 man roster, more eyes watching the cowboys and jersey sales....master of marketing, I am convinced Jerry does not care about winning a Super Bowl all he wants is for you to watch his games and buy jerseys
