I worked with thousands of people at American Airlines. Rule 32 of their rules and regulations covered workplace harassment. At one point the CEO Gerard Arpey put a letter out naming specific terms which were considered racist or unallowed. Now I'm not sure of all the terms listed then but being that I was the lead arbiter for the transport workers union. ... We talked about it all the time. I don't know you personally, yet we're talking about it aren't we? Things come up sometimes. As far as me going down the list with everyone i know. Didn't happen, nor does it have to. All my friends are well balanced individuals that understand the difference between right and wrong.

Hope this helps,
FDC

I said nothing about it being right or wrong so no need to bring that up with me. All I said was that I find it strange you have talked about it with everyone you know. So if you didn't go down the list, how do you know they know? I think I'm a well balanced individual as are most of my friends and we've never talked about that term and things of race rarely if ever come up. Maybe they know it and maybe they don't but there is no way I could say everyone I know is aware of what it means. I must add that I'm happy I don't know if all or any of them know what it means. I say that because we don't talk about things like that and never feel the need to.

First of all wood, I said nothing about going down a list and having discussions on racist terms with my friends, so no need to bring that up with me.
I explained it to you and how it came up. I assume they know, how's that?
It was actually a rather oft used term at work, as were other terms. I find it strange that you didn't know what it means when you live in the Dallas area, to be honest. Regardless, I don't care either way. I don't care if Hedge or anyone else is or isn't a racist either. It doesn't affect my life one way or the other. I find it strange that this is the topic you take away from this thread as well. It would seem that there are much more pressing issues to be brought to bear in here and yet you decided to call me out? Then you twist the words I use to fit your agenda and give me shit? Let's be real clear here, I didn't bring a fucking thing up with you, not one thing. I answered your question. You seem to be the only person in this thread, other than Hedge, that wasn't aware of the word's connotations. The fact that Hedge used the term to refer to a black man belies his innocence in the matter, which would pretty much leave just you. I never said every single person in the world knows what the fucking thing means. Besides that, who gives a fuck.

LostinAmerica,
Would I know your aunt professionally or personally? My guess is neither, so not germane to the discussion.

Hope this helps,

I was merely making fun of this guy as being a prissy boy, KOD called him Sammy in a thread in politics forum and I thought it was funny so I changed it to Sambo thinking it would be funnier, my attempt at humor was interpreted as me being a racist, I honestly had no idea calling him that would make you people freak out like you have.

Don't you think you should learn what words mean before using them ?

How did I twist your words? I simply said I find it strange that every single person(and by the way that's a lot of people but not everyone in the world) knows what the term means. The reason I find it strange is because I don't talk racial things with friends, family or people I work around. If I do I never talk about different meanings of words. Now in your case I can see how it came up at work. I understand why your boss felt the need to write down every racist word there was so nobody would say them at work.

So I didn't twist your words, just quoted them and I have no agenda. You said something I found strange and I stated that. Who gives a fuck? Nobody does, I was just posting about a thought. Who gives a fuck what Hedge says? Nobody, but you felt the need to post something about what he said.
