I like Ohio State in this one. Michigan is a great team, but they are not THAT good. I don't put them anywhere near the top three teams in the country, and in fact, I think FSU, Georgia, Va Tech, Miami and several other teams could beat them on a neutral field. Now we have them going into the Shoe, and I am not an OSU fan or anything and I don't want to hype up the homefield too much, but it is tough as hell to win in the shoe. OSU just needs to make a few bigs plays on defense and if Ginn can break one I like OSU to win this one outright. Edwards is a stud, and Mich seems to have a high powered offense, but I have a hard time believing that OSU gets rolled over in this one, in fact, I have a hard time believing they won't win the game. It is rivalry week, and I am going a nickel on each of the biggest rivalry games. I am going against all the BS about how Mich and Auburn will roll, I am taking OSU and Alabama the two livest dogs on the board. If I lose, then I am down eleven and up 15 bucks for the year, but you know what I am willing to make that bet because I feel 1100 sure that Mich and Auburn will not both cover. We will see and good luck.

Dizz, I am with you on this one; I agree that Ohio State is the play; I dont like that Ohio State has no offense but neither did ND when they blew out Michigan. I agree that in this rivalry game; you take the home team CATCHING points; this game wont be pretty but should be very very close and an outright upset would not surprise me. Michigan has shown especially on the road they can be scored on. I believe the key will be does Tressel open the playbook up just a little. If they do I believe Ohio State should win this game outight.
Good luck this weekend

Thanks.

Yeah like I said, I feel at least one of those dogs will cover, if not both.

Michigan is 9-1 for all games and 7-0 in league play and has locked up at least a share of the Big Ten title. A victory over the Buckeyes would send the Wolverines to the Rose Bowl. A loss, coupled with a win by Wisconsin at Iowa, would eliminate Michigan from that scenario.

Michigan is coming off a 42-20 win over Northwestern in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines led just 7-6 at the half, but outscored the Wildcats 35-14 after intermission.

Michigan is rated seventh in this week's Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today polls and is the highest ranked team Ohio State has played this year. The Buckeyes are 5-1 against Top 10 teams under Jim Tressel the past four years.

Saturday's game will be televised nationally by ABC and will kickoff at 1:06 p.m. in Ohio Stadium, where a crowd of more than 105,000 is expected to witness the fourth meeting between Michigan's Lloyd Carr and Ohio State's Jim Tressel.

When the two teams met in 2002 in a game that would decide whether or not the Buckeyes would play in the national championship game, a record Ohio Stadium crowd of 105,539 saw the two teams battle. That attendance mark could fall this week.

you must not have been following the rivalry when osu was playing for undefeated seasons and rose bowl berths in the mid 90s.

Or when Michigan was defending its undefeated season and #1 ranking in '97.
