Yup, a first, a second and a third in the first three majors of the year. He should be ashamed of such a disgraceful performance.

Lefty stunk on day one, with a 73 --- then finished out with rounds of 66, 68 and 68. If that's how a stiff play then want do you call Tigers' 70-71-68-72-281?

Glad to see Tiger in the top ten though, maybe one of these times he'll actually step up and give Phil and Ernie a run.

Yeah for real the guy has only finished better then any other player in the world in the majors this year, made like 92% of tournaments he entered and finished in the top 10 more then anyone else. I guess he did choke.

Are ya smoking something?

El Tigre has been in contention to win a major coming into the back 9 on Sunday how many times this year? zero.

Phil is player of the year this year, unless Tiger or Ernie win 3 or 4 more tourneys and the PGA

Phil or Ernie might tank there way into #1 world golf rankings by the end of the year. Move over Tiger. Between Phil Vijay and Ernie we will have a new #1 by years end

Tiger Woods is floundering and Phil gets the bashing? I think Number one is a pile of #2 and Phil and Earnie should flip a coin for his spot on the world rankings!

I just want to butt in here for a minute.....Did Mickelson tank this? Hardly. Am I a huge Mickelson fan? Not really, but I respect his ability to play at this level of golf, smile all the time and be happy he has a wife ( :hitit: ) and kids. Look at Tiger Woods right now....He gets engaged ( :hitit: ) and he can't keep up anymore. Is this coincidence? Probably, but if there is more to it, then that's all the more respect Phil should receive for being able to keep his priorities straight and balance both. (I'm the last guy to comment on this, as I'm a single guy, but I respect Phil as a person).

To take this conversation in a different direction, I think Todd Hamilton deserves all the credit in the world. Not too long ago I played this game competitively, and tried to make a career out of it as an assitant in pro shops and playing small mini tours. Well, now I push a pencil in an office every day in the small town where I grew up and play the game with a couple of beers for $10 nassaus with the boys after work and on weekends. Todd Hamilton sacrificed everything and played in Asia for a cheque because playing anywhere for a cheque was better than doing anything else. Believe me, he's right. He stood on the 18th tee Sunday at the British Open with the lead and needing a par. As I watched him on that tee, I wondered how he wasn't puking, because I think my knees would have been knocking so bad, I wouldn't have been vertical at that point, knowing that your whole life could change if you could do what you have been dreaming of doing. But, even after a couple of bad shots, he wanted it enough that he got the job done, and for that, credit should be given where credit is due.

Win a date with Todd Hamilton. Or win the Claret Jug, Todd Hamilton.

sharky that was a good post man. I love playing golf and i get nervous when iam putting on the 18 hole with 10 dollars on the line. I couldnt even imagine 1.35 million and a job on sundays for the next 5 years life changing and he pulled it off. Dont think i could handle that situation

I like watching Hefty play.

It's interesting watching Tiger unravel and snap at people, whether it's fans, Butch Harmon, cameramen. I guess it's a different kind of pressure, but Phil faced a ton going into every major and never snapped back, as far as I recall.
