Anyone? I cant believe this league is talking of striking. Do the players honestly think there is enough of a demand for their product that people will come back? Pathetic, just pathetic.

The league is on pace to set an all time low in attendence at less than 9,000 per game. However, the Washington Mystics average 15,000 per game! Anyone know the Wizards average attendence last year? Cant imagine its near that. But given the Mystics attendence, the rest of the league must be trifling. Dont look for the NBA to fold the league though, they have less than $8M invested and David Stern has said look, this is a long term investment. No one seems to mind baseball losing hundreds of millions PER YEAR, leave this league alone.

On a personal note, I'm sitting right at 60% after 120 plays. Not bad considering I blew up the last part of last week. I've really been getting a thrill when I can cap a game right on the numbers and everyone makes money. As such, I am going to put more work into my second half of the season. Superbook really smokes me when it comes to write-ups, so I will try to improve that as well.

Other than that, just a quick message:

Dear God, please make the NFL get here faster. Thanks.

Hope you all had a few good days off. Lets get ready to get back to work.

Stop being so philosophical, there's a game tonight and it's being played in your town. LOL

Let's get to it: 2002 WNBA All-Star game.

Opening line was -7 and 148(?)

It's now -8 and 156 (peaked at 157).

You're looking forward to NFL? I think my best year in football I hit 50%. After WNBA I go to baseball playoffs then straight to college basketball. :)

Geez I didnt even know they were bringing out a line on the AS game. Who do we like?

The fall is my absolutely silly season. I will take WNBA right up to the opening of College Football season. Its NCAAs and NFL until College hoops opens. I tend to play real heavy the first couple months as you can find some decent lines before conference play starts. In January I start to really dig into NCAAs in preperation for the tournament.

By the way, check out wnba.com and their galleries from Sunday. Sue Bird is a hottie.

Last night I advised some of my friends to get on the Over when it opened at Oly.

Now that the line has moved from 147 to 156 (was at 157), I can't really recommend it anymore as a BEST BET.

But still one play I can recommend:

BEST BEST: West -4 (First Half)

The All-Star game is tough to cap because it is all about individual performances. The fans come to see great individual performances, so it comes down to one-on-one play.

I don't normally make First Half plays because it seems like any team can play with any other for a half. But in this case, I'm going to make an exception because of the way this game is played.

The starters will play approximately 20 minutes, the majority in the first half.

There's no question that the West has the better and more experienced players. Lisa Leslie was the MVP of last years game and the first game in 1999 and Tina Thompson was the MVP the in 2000.

Leslie has been unstoppable in the All-Star game, scoring 20 points and grabbing 9 rebounds last year. I just don't see East center Tari Phillips stopping Leslie, to me the biggest question will be whether or not Leslie will dunk or not.

The East will be hurt due to injuries: starter Holdsclaw is out and starter Catchings is recovering from a concussion and may have a broken nose. She's questionable.

Leslie was the MVP last year with Swoopes out due to injury. IMO Swoopes will have a big game tonight to prove that she's back.

Bird will have a big East coast fan club cheering for her and she won't have any trouble running the West's offense.

I just don't see how the East will be able to stop Swoopes/Thompson/Leslie/Bird/Penicheiro in the first half.

Last year the West was up 40-30 at the end of the half.

i like the dog gettng 81/2-maybe they don't have as good as starters but i think the 2nd 5 is better-coach cooper says he wants his team to score 100 points-will run and gun--over?

IMO the game could be close, based on a comeback by the East bench.

It should be run and gun. Just not sure there's value in Over 157 when the opening line by LVSC was 143. That's a big number.

I think I will be taking the East +6 in the 2nd Half. Before the game tipped I thought they definitely had the better bench. So getting 6 I will stick with my first look.
