That $292 million contract, adjusted for inflated MLB spending, is almost exactly the same deal Cabrera got on his last contract. So it is a better deal for him, as he is getting older, probably not the best deal for the team. But it is a contract in the middle of the pack, as far as adjusted spending goes for these 9 figure player deals.
