i am not sayin you are wrong, or saying you are an idiot for not understanding my viewpoint....

that shows a persons arrogance if they really feel people are wrong or inferior in regards to a coversation that is 100% opinion....

That is where you are wrong. Trout has clearly earned the MVP.

You are correct in one thing. It is pointless to argue this. Besides I have a debate to watch. I hope you read that link I posted for you.

not gonna change my vote...

ive read it all seen it all

Trout has less atbats

trout has a better WAR

Trout plays better defense...

Trout scores more runs which is what really wins games....

thats all good...

i have said, if trout didnt miss the 1st month, my vote may be different, but he did.....miggy has better numbers....over a longer time...

this award isnt "who would be the best if they played all the games...."

fuck there are some pinch hitters who have a .1000 avarege after 1 at bat this year and got hurt.......am I supposed to vote for them and expect that they wouldve had the same sucecs if they played everygame??????

what if trout played the additional 30 games and went 0-4 in each game?????????

we wouldnt be talking....

This is from the link above. You are welcome.

Because Trout got called up to the Majors at the end of April, Cabrera has played in 21 additional games, so most of the counting stats go in his favor. And, Morosi has a legitimate point when he talks about number of games played, as we can?t simply ignore the fact that Cabrera has played an additional three weeks worth of games, creating value for his team in the process.

However, that last category is the one that never gets mentioned, but is perhaps the one that speaks the loudest out of all of them. Cabrera?s additional playing time has earned him an additional 60 trips to the plate, but in those 60 extra plate appearances, he?s made 54 extra outs. If we?re going to depend on counting stats to measure the difference in value from a quantity standpoint, we cannot ignore the fact that Cabrera?s propensity for hitting into double plays ? he leads the American League with 28 GIDPs ? has had a significant negative impact on the Tigers offense. We cannot simply count up the number of additional positive benefits that the Tigers have gotten from Cabrera?s playing time advantage without also accounting for the negatives.

some of the most knowledgable and respected people in baseball have the same though process on this as I do, so if that lumps me into the "some people" group with them, well so be it....

trout is amazing.....atleast hear me when I say that....I am not saying he wouldnt be the clear cut in my opinion 99 out of 100 years...

Add in the fact that he is a negative fielder so the more he is out there the more it is a detriment to his team.

You could not be more wrong about that.

Anyone who follows the game or is involved with the game knows about these stats.

To say otherwise is just really foolish and about ten plus years behind everyone else.

some poeple dont give a shit about billy beane...

some of the most well respected people in baseball say that sabermetrics are all garbage and worthless...

i mean , they did build a very succesful mlb by providing fans with the very best talent in the world long before they had WAR to determine what players belonged in the pros

the triple crown is an amazing feat, even if what stats are emphasized in the game has changed. It's even more amazing that someone that wins it isn't the clear cut MVP. Perhaps that is part of what I like about this season and the sport of baseball.

Can't believe this is the case, but if I had a vote, I would cast it for Trout.

Let's go ahead and forgoe all voting on MLB awards and use only sabermetrics to decide...lol

Seriously, what if the NFL started using passer rating to select the league MVP. Takes the fun out of it to let computers decide these things imo.
